Wish it could have worked out after he stuck out last season, always came across a cracking bloke but clearly just wasn’t cut out for the job.
No bad words to say about him as a person and wish him the best of luck wherever he goes next.
Lets get behind the next man 🦉
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club confirms that Henrik Pedersen has left the club with immediate effect.
Henrik led the first team through an exceptional period in the club's history, providing stability and leadership during a time of significant uncertainty and change.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Henrik for his contribution and wishes him every success in the future.
Sporting Director Simon Wilson said: “First and foremost, I want to thank Henrik for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during an exceptionally challenging period for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We knew the start of this season would be difficult due to the scale of change across the club, but our expectation was always that we would develop as the season progressed, establishing a recognisable style of play and greater consistency in our performances.
“Although we have accumulated points, we haven’t seen enough progress in those areas. We believe making a change now gives us the best opportunity to establish those foundations and build towards the second half of the season and beyond.
“We remain ambitious about what we can achieve this campaign, and our focus remains on building a Sheffield Wednesday team with a clear identity, capable of delivering sustained improvement and long-term success.”
Matt Hamshaw will take interim charge of the first team while the club undertakes the process of appointing its next Head Coach.
The club will provide further updates when appropriate.
Annoying on those who missed out that notts county have half a stand next to the away end not in use 🤣🤣
For me, having a good chairman has never ever meant a billionaire who’s gonna pump millions into the club every year and lose the soul of the club through splashing cash. It has always been about someone who cares about the club, understands the fans and takes in the culture and values of the city.
You can’t buy class and Storch has it in abundance, it feels brilliant to not only be in a good place on the pitch & financially, but also has an owner that has so much time for us and the people of Sheffield 👏
Wow Zoe. I’m so sorry for misspelling your last name in my message. Your work is amazing and to learn how much it comes from your heart, from your own experience makes it that much more powerful and important.
I look forward to meeting you, hosting you to @swfc game and having a chance to properly thank you for the work you’ve done, for your artistic achievement. Please know your lion and lioness will be proudly displayed at Hillsborough and will forever serve as a reminder of the life saving work performed @SheffChildrens for so many kids and families.
Thanks @BurgarZoe .
Wishing you all the best,
David
