Yes in the comics Tommyโs powers are modeled after his unclesโ. Yes speedsters can phase so you can still ARGUE the same thing here in the MCU in regard to Tommyโs power being that of his unclesโ.
BUT that isnโt what MARVEL TOLD US about TOMMY in the MCU. Remember MCU origins/universe is different from the main comic universe.
There was only a cute lil nod to Tommy and Pietro as it relates to their powers in the WandaVision Halloween episode. A homage if you will. And that wasnโt even โPietroโ it was Agatha possessing a random man and giving him temporary abilities to gaslight Wanda.
However, Marvel had been VERY adamant prior to that to also highlight Visionโs super speed ability. They also highlighted his super speed abilities in WandaVision, specifically when Wanda went into labor and he ran to get the Doctor.
Wanda also quite literally says in the first episode when he talks about the Heart/Hart abbreviation, โYou move at the speed of sound and I can make a pen float through the air, who needs to abbreviateโ
We have seen Pietroโs super speed in the MCU but we have NOT seen his ability to phase (heโs dead) and Makkari did not show any ability of phasing through solid objects in Eternals. We also did not see Pietro OR Makkari generate any sort of electrical currents/pulses with their abilities.
In conclusion, Thomasโ superspeed abilities are from his FATHER in the MCU, not his uncle, including the phasing. Wanda is very armament in regard to this especially when speaking on the fact that they inherited โtough skinโ from Vision as well when she spoke to them about life being meaningless.

Hey guys. If you're expecting a huge online player base, please save your hard-earned money and don't buy our indie game. The most we ever had was 1.6k concurrent players (still super proud of that).
We're currently working on a new game mode/update. Thanks for your support โค๏ธ

Florence Pugh says Yelena only ended up in Brand New Day because Tom Holland chose her over Marvelโs biggest superheroes
โOh, you know, this all happened because of Tom.
"So, years ago, when I had just kind of started my relationship with Marvel, and Black Widow had come out, and my Yelena wasnโt as obviously big as all of the other big superheroes.โ
โHe, on the red carpet of his previous movie, when someone said, โWho do you want to do the next movie with? Do you want it to be with Thor?โ And I donโt remember the superheroes, but they were, like, all massive superheroes.
"And he said, โNo, actually, I want to, I want to do it with Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena.โโ
โSo because of that, fans were then, like, so excited about the idea of it, and that started the ball rolling. So thanks to Tom. Thank you, Tom.โ
Jimmy Fallon: โYeah. Come on. Thanks, Tom Holland. I love that dude.โ

I totally understand her because it just gets to a point. AI Exhaustion is real.
Everywhere you go has AI art on walls, AI posters on streets. So much of what you consume is AI. Your friends show you AI content. Your family canโt tell what is AI.
Itโs justโฆtiring.

I saw someone say she's appropriating white culture by being punk and it's very important to me that everyone knows the song played in this trailer is LITERALLY about a black woman being called a poseur by fellow punks because of her skin color 50 YEARS AGO
