Together we will be invited to slow things down and rest as an act of resistance. We will engage in some gentle embodiment practices and be invited into a moment of collective rest with a relaxing sound bath. Sound therapy, particularly sound baths, can help induce a state of deep relaxation, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces the body's stress response, it can reduce tension, pain and promote better sleep amongst many other benefits. Music and sound in general has been used as healing technology for thousands of years and science has confirmed the power that vibrations have to induce our own bodies' self-healing capacity. I hope we can release some tension and experience a moment of calm together.
