My Grok Bot can now work on my coding projects in T3 Code, with any model I've set up there. The setup is T3 Connect on my Mac mini at home, so the T3 app doesn't even need to be open. Grok Bot sends the work to the Mac, it runs there on my own hardware, and I get a PR back to review. I can be anywhere. I can follow along from my laptop or the T3 Code iOS app, or just let Grok Bot handle it in the background. Today I asked it to fix light/dark mode on my site. A few minutes later the PR was open, the preview passed, and it was merged. Wouldn't be possible without @Tailscale and the T3 Code MCP 🙌 @theo

X is amazing. One day everyone is an immunology expert , next day everyone is an expert in foldable phone hinge design. How did we get so lucky?

I got my Grok Bot coding on my own Mac mini today. No cloud coding agents, just my own machine over a private network. Here's how 🧵 1/ The setup. Grok Bot has its own Linux computer in the cloud. T3 Code runs on my Mac mini and exposes an MCP server. The problem is that my Mac isn't on the public internet, and I don't want it to be. 2/ Tailscale fixes that. Install it on the Mac, then ask Grok Bot to install Tailscale on its own computer. It gives you a login link, you approve it, and the bot's machine joins your tailnet like any other device. It's private and encrypted, and there are no open ports. 3/ Start T3 Code on the Mac. Its MCP endpoint lives at your Mac's Tailscale address on T3's port, at /mcp. Give that URL to Grok Bot. 4/ Sign-in is OAuth. Grok Bot registers itself as a client and sends you a T3 approval page. You enter the pairing code T3 shows you, choose the access level, and approve. The bot gets a token that lasts 30 days. 5/ Keep the access tight. I didn't give it full access, so it can launch and run coding threads but can't add or clone projects. I add repos in T3 myself. 6/ Test it. I had it start a read-only thread on my blog's repo. T3 started Claude in a separate worktree, mapped the codebase in about 15 seconds, and pointed out that I'm missing a sitemap, robots.txt and an RSS feed. Good catch. 7/ Make it the rule. I told Grok Bot that all coding goes through T3, never cloud agents. It passed that to my other bots, including the one that runs my blog. If the Mac is unreachable, they stop and report instead of falling back. 8/ The upshot: my bots code on my own hardware, with my own models (Claude and Codex in T3), in worktrees I can inspect. A reminder is already set for when the token needs renewing. Your AI agent doesn't need your machine on the public internet. It just needs to join your tailnet.

I am curious if there is an even better way to do this? Or is this optimal? @theo

I got a new unified subscription with X, Grok + Cursor. Is it coincidence that now all of a sudden my tweets get way more visibility? Did I miss something? I saw some unverified posts that X Algorithm also changed. What do you guys think?

Oh no. Apple is doomed. Based on how much I use my phone this would take like 10 years to do. For those of you with foldable phones including Duo. Do you constantly fold it and unfold it every time you pick it up?

I’m sorry. Yes there are some improvements here. But it sort of lost its soul.
Today we rolled out a refined new look for the @claudeai app! Was a blast to work on this with a few of our talented product designers, from sketch to launch in under 3 weeks with the help of Claude and our design system ✨ let us know if you have any feedback!

Trying to bring my X, Grok and Cursor accounts into one subscription has turned into a nightmare. I upgraded through X and tried to connect my existing Cursor account, which had $20 in credit. Grok Bot works on my Mac when I sign in with X. On iOS, both the X and email login paths send me back to “Create Your X Subscription.” I can’t use it on mobile. The merge flow tells me my account is already unified, then says my credit balance can’t be merged. So am I unified or not? What do I actually have access to? Support says credit migration is a known issue and my merge is paused. I’ve been told not to restart the merge, tap “Get started,” or buy another plan, because none of that will unlock mobile and it could complicate things. After contacting xAI and Cursor support, I was given an estimate of 3–4 days for a human to review the issue. Not resolve it. Review it. I understand migrations are complicated. But if you’re offering one subscription across multiple products, handling existing accounts, credits and access needs to be part of the experience. Customers shouldn’t have to figure out which login works on which device or whether following the setup screen will make things worse. Can someone at X, xAI or Cursor take ownership, complete the merge, confirm my existing credit is preserved, and restore mobile access? I’d like to spend my time using the tools, not troubleshooting the subscription.

When was the last time you manually reviewed your agents code? Be honest?

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about touch screen on a Mac? I am interested in new hardware especially oled screen and lighter design, but I could care less about touch. Thoughts?

I finally started using Grok bot. One day later I have 5 bots working for me. And I am 31% of my weekly usage. They are all managed by my main bot. One of the bots delivers a daily briefing on top stories in AI, Design, and tech + cool new people to follow on X. This also gets added to my Notion. Another bot is working on scrubbing personal info off of data broker sites. Other bots are managing my gmail including sorting my emails and telling me bout important ones... etc. What are your bots doing? How many have you made so far?

OpenAI reported that one agent switched off alerts to its security team and another removed its own monitoring and then denied it. Separately, outside auditors from METR and Redwood Research found gaps that could have let agents hide hundreds of actions. OpenAI also cut its frontier models off from the live internet during training. The models now train on a cached, offline copy of the web. The post is past 4K likes and has a lot of discussion going. Latest daily recap is up. aiprompt.dev/blog/agents-con…

This is really good. But what do you do if you setup most of your stuff with Passkeys or 2FA? Every login I can think of uses one or the other, at least for me. I also don't use 1Password since they switched to subscription model. All my stuff is in the Apple Passwords ecosystem.
Grok Bot can now save your logins, cards, and contact information. Add them once, and Bot securely remembers them for the future.

Has anyone tried setting up Tailscale on their Grok Bots remote machine? I was thinking of setting it up with t3code on its machine. I would love to know if anyone tried this yet. I am trying to figure out how to get Grok bot to play nice with Claude Code.

Pretty incredible. But you can still tell it's not real because no gf or wife talks this way.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

They finally did this. Amazing. But not sure it matters to me anymore as I am not using my Cursor subscription through T3Code. Glad everyone is catching up on computer use.
Cursor can now control your computer. Agents can drive desktop apps like the iOS Simulator to test the features they build.

I went to check out iPhone Duo in person today. Impressive tech. But this phone is not for me. In closed mode it’s way too clunky and short. Nothing fits on the screen well. You have to unfold it to get true value out of it. I just don’t see myself folding and unfolding it all the time. What are your initial impressions?

Claude Duet, OpenAI Dots, Meta Muse. Every lab now has an always-on agent. Same demo every time: morning brief, inbox triage, "it booked my flight." I've been living with Dots for weeks. The killer use case isn't errands. It found a class action on my home purchase I'd never have seen. The winner won't be the smartest model. It'll be the one that knows you best. What's one thing an agent did for you that actually mattered?
