On this day in Tigers history: Armando Galarraga received a Corvette, on June 3, 2010, a day after his 28-out perfect game.
Galarraga took the lineup card to emotional umpire Jim Joyce, who was in tears. The two men shook hands in a sign of sportsmanship.

Most poker players think of a downswing as something they are "in."
A-Game Players understand that a downswing is simply a lens used to view a group of bad sessions, and those past sessions have no impact on the current one unless you let it.

It becomes painfully obvious that these are the petty ppl making the call to ban Jesse & Croll for life. These same ppl expect you to forget that the GG Million Dollar promo was still in play w/2 tables left. The hypocrisy of the most influential voices in this industry is truly disgusting.
My competitive kiddos have played a winner take all NL match for the last 5 hours, including massive coolers, AA cracked multiple times and there have been no tears or personal attacks....we are doing something right @primedryan
Wait wait wait - isn’t that breaking their own rules. If a player chip dumps or alters the course of play in an attempt to bubble…..will they face a lifetime ban @wsop.
Might be genius - offer a prize you never pay out?
The 2025 Main Event bubble is here and we’ve got our friend @jeffplatt on hand to break down what’s special about this year.
Players are now hand for hand in the room as we inch closer!

I was the 5th place finisher in the @WSOP milly maker. I am confident that I was not cheated nor was game integrity affected at any point prior to heads up. If Jesse and James received lifetime bans, that is an absolute travesty, completely unjust, and needs to be reconsidered
Imagine somehow @WSOP opts to try to withhold the prize...@ClubWPTGold then would have the opportunity to swoop in and make it right.
This will be defining. Pay the players.
My personal takes regarding last night's WSOP FT/WPT scenario.
Biggest winner: @WPT - They would have paid way more than $1M for this kind of promotion. Chances are newr zero imo that they invalidate this $1M giveaway and undo all the positive they've done for their brand.
Biggest loser: WSOP - Situation could only happen because of them not facilitating deals. This shines a light on that, and now they're playing defense against a competitor. How they handle this could make it worse for them. If they invalidate the win or don't award the prize money to 1st and 2nd, player backlash will be even greater.
Game integrity concerns: If it truly only affected HU play, it's not a great look for the game, but I'm less concerned if it didn't hurt other players within the event. It's hard to know that it didn't, though. For example, if Yaginuma told Carroll he would make a deal with him if they got heads-up, it would affect play at the final table. It would open the door to actual collusion against other players to reach that point and activate that prize money for themselves.
Final thoughts: WSOP, pay the players. Hold the bracelet if you see fit. WPT, enjoy the promotion. Anytime money outside the event prize pool is introduced to only certain players within the event, it affects what optimal play is. The same can be said for last longers, which are popular among some players. Accept it's going to happen, and enact procedures to deal with it. Mainly, allow players to make deals with their money.

You either want to see two players capture an extra milly from an entity likely to rake 10 figs or you want to see two players lose 2+ milly because you haven't thought this through.
I love that the seniors 1k starts tomorrow and there’s already 400 players registered. They are ready!

Always so wild to me how fans abandon a game before it ends. Sad to see that in Vegas! Let’s go @EdmontonOilers #vgk
