Hope this explains to those who overlooked the context, that this was only put together to move forward as a trade and keep the Org Autonomy intact. One day ( when’s it’s too late) the trade will see it for what it is. The Doors always open.
Here’s a full video dropped on our YouTube Channel with a @taximanant on the Cab Council proposal. In a detailed Q and A-using an extracting Ai voiceover- Anthony explains the Framework, the resistance and where it is today. Enjoy.

Oxford Street pedestrianisation has started. Drivers are rightly angry-Why don’t you call your trade Orgs to pool funds for an independent study of traffic, queues, Taxi times and footfall, then publish the evidence? London TravelWatch or UCL could be approached to oversee it.
Esse has played just over 2hours for us since he came back and a bit of that is from Injury and Millwall fans are calling him Crap. Get a grip ffs #millwall

Firstly, the comparison has to be made to 2030- that’s when newly licensed PH WAV have to comply
Secondly, the current LEVC TX is already out of production. The TX6 arrives in the second half of 2027 and is expected to meet the CoF and be zero-emission from the tailpipe.
Lastly, the asymmetry is real. Black cabs have faced a ZEC requirement on every new licence since 1 January 2018. PH only reached a full ZEC mandate in 2023 after a staggered phase in- despite having a plethora of suitable vehicles available.

That's funny because at my last strategy meeting with my accountant, they informed me I must use HMRC-recognised Making Tax Digital compatible software, creating an oligopoly for firms like Xero.
I must now also report my company's income every three months rather than once a year, as well as a final report at year end.
So I now have to pay for a Xero subscription.
And pay my accountant more for the increased submissions.
And fuck about with reconciling every three months, rather than once a year.
For HMRC to end up with the same amount of income from me as before.
Fuck off.
Just fuck off.
Fuck off all the way back to Yorkshire, then fuck off some more.
.@Ed_Miliband You keep telling us to make our homes more energy efficient. I’m trying to improve my loft insulation, but our household earnings ruled us out of grant support. Now the GLA tells me applications in Bexley are closed due to demand. How are we supposed to benifit
During ‘the test and review period’ on Oxford st, I do hope @CityWestminster get busy evidencing their points about the environmental impact and are poised to collect their own data. I also hope our own Orgs are ready to expose the gridlocked traffic from the paid officials.
How many Taxi Ranks lost and how many gained with the Oxford St pedestrianisation changes? Anyone know?
BULit21-The judge said that as well as influencing TFL & engaging lawyers for Ubers licence, the Trade should have took a claim against Uber 2 run alongside it for loss of earnings. Litigation had 2 start this whole claim in the 1st place. Makes you think about our representation

Maybe just a coincidence but Justice Birt was a barrister for Brick Court Chambers who just by chance happened to defend Uber against TFL when their licence was suspended in 2020.

Is it not a bit rich of TFL to suggest imposing the fine details of a hiring via booking platforms without regulating them? #agent #principke . Bit like putting the cart before the horse #ply4hire #prebook
There’s a policy responsibility from @TfL & they have the power to act. The @MayorofLondon has a general duty on transport to act also. Should always be them who decide to do away with the TC, let that be their decision, not ours!

The only sensible solution is for TfL to let any cab due to come off the road keep working temporarily, until there are enough cabs in circulation. If they refuse, I believe they could leave themselves open to a legal challenge. It’s as simple as that. Get your heads together!
10.20am- not a soul working on the roadworks on Pall Mall! @TfL @FMConwayltd it’s not like this road is important or anything😩

Anyone who has ever driven in London regularly knows that currently it is not functioning as a working , productive city . A combination of closures , uncoordinated works and ‘improvement’ schemes have led to constant delays and chaos . Whatever the plan is it isn’t working.
To have Pall Mall Eb & Admiralty Arch Eb shut at the same time must be an oversight @CityWestminster ? No pre-planner with knowledge of London’s Road network would do that on purpose would they?

With respect Tim, Westminster told us in 2021 they have not enforced the exemption since 2009 due to a TMO that is not enforceable despite those exemptions being in situ since the 1970's.
The exemption is no good if it is not enforced.
TfL have had control of Oxford Street since September 2025 and they too have done diddly squat to enforce the existing bus/taxi/cycle exemption and the signs showing the exemption from New Oxford Street are missing so the traffic on the eastern end is not all the traffic necessary to be there as deliveries used to be made on side streets and rear access at that end.
Emergencies services remain unaffected as will always have access.
In November 1972 the exemption was introduced from Portman Street to Oxford Circus and was designated for buses/taxis and cycles only from 7-7, Monday to Saturday. In March 1974 the exemption was extended from Oxford Circus to Tottenham Court Road. It again was for buses/taxis and cycles only from 7-7, Monday to Saturday.
The 52-year bus/taxi/cycle exemption is further supported by the fact that only buses and taxis can use Soho Street to exit onto Oxford Street as general traffic has only previously been permitted on a Sunday (note no DfT authorised sign which permits taxis and cycles exists).
You must walk along Oxford Street from Tottenham Court Road up to Great Portland Street and it cannot only be our members who see, private cars, PHV, vans, motorcycles etc daily which delays buses and our passengers.
The exemption on the remaining part of Oxford Street which is not being pedestrianised needs to enforced if only to make up the time passengers diverted onto Wigmore Street will encounter as part of their new route.
