Models have no moat. Frontier models are what make OpenAI and Anthropic relevant and enable them to bring together talent and raise gargantuan amounts of money. But where does that money go? Compute to train more models? The real moat is in access to frontier NVIDIA hardware in bulk and transition that into inference, or better yet enterprise AI solutions that are only possible with large scale hardware ownership.
Heard from a neolab friend: โ€œEven if we fail to train the best model, we locked in GPU capacity early. H100/B200/B300 rental prices have since gone up 2โ€“3x. We can just resell the compute and print money.โ€ OK, so thatโ€™s the business model.

The idea is simple: wherever you are, you can bring people together and organize a local meetup. No matter the city or the size of the gathering, every connection helps build something bigger. Great communities aren't built on a screen alone. They're built by people who share ideas, exchange perspectives, and turn online connections into real relationships. Let's bring Arkadian closer to our local communities, one meetup at a time. Who's ready to make it happen in their region? ๐Ÿ‘€ One community. Different places. A shared vision. @arkadianworld

A Columbia paper presented at Brookings sizes the AI buildout at $10.3 trillion over 2025 to 2032. To earn a 10% return on that investment the paper estimates AI revenue would need to reach $3.7 trillion a year by 2032. That is about 9.2% of projected GDP. For reference OpenAI and Anthropic together earn roughly $100 billion today. Who pays? Large companies. The paper describes a buildout first paid from cash held by Amazon and Meta and Google and now moving to outside financing. BEA data shows business investment in computers and peripherals at $325 billion annualized in late 2025, up 75% from $186 billion in 2024. Businesses have driven around three quarters of computing spending. A household version of the 9.2% would be about $11 thousand per American per year. The same chart shows health spend at 18% of GDP and food at 9.1%. US consumers simply do not have this much extra money to spend. So how much is on the table for businesses to drive? Apollo estimates S&P 500 companies employ up to 18% of US workers and account for 21% of US capex and about half of corporate profits. The employment share uses global headcount so the US figure is likely lower. Apollo also finds that 81% of firms with more than $100 million in revenue are private. Spending so far comes from a small group of firms. Most of the S&P 500 and most of private business have not yet bought or integrated AI at scale. One exception is Latham and Watkins, who is buying GPU servers to run private AI. So where will the money come from? Apart from new value generation it will come from wages and benefits. US employers paid about $16 trillion in wages and benefits at the end of 2025. Workers' Compensation has held near 52% of gross domestic income since 2022. If that trend holds a $40 trillion economy in 2032 would see wages and benefits near $21 trillion. $3.7 trillion is about 18% of that. Corporate profits have hit a record 12.1% of GDP. But employee budget is still a larger pool and one that firms already know how to reallocate. I think 9% figure is most likely to be driven by businesses shifting employee spend to AI spend. Businesses must invest in AI to stay competitive. That investment will drive efficiency and profits for them by cutting costs elsewhere. Employee spend is something top companies are accustomed to optimizing through downsizing.
For the AI buildout to pay off, Americans will eventually have to spend about 9% of GDP a year on AI services. Sit with that number. That is roughly what the entire country spends on food. A Columbia paper presented at Brookings estimates AI revenue would need to hit $3.5 trillion by 2032, about 8.8% of GDP, to justify what is being committed today. That is bigger than any investment boom in US history, and 7 times what Americans spend on phone, streaming, and internet combined. Now look at computers. Prices fell for 50 straight years, but business spending on them as a share of GDP plateaued in the 1980s and never climbed again. Cheaper and better did not mean an ever-larger slice of the economy. AI will almost certainly raise productivity. Whether it delivers the revenue investors are pricing is another matter. That gap is what the buildout is underpricing.

How we use Zama ? โ†’ Every NFT mints sealed and is encrypted onchain using Zamaโ€™s FHE. โ†’ The contract computes on data it can never read. โ†’ Its look and essence are determined by FHE randomness. Nobody gets to choose. Not even us. ๐ŸŸจ Built with FHE on @zama.

First of all, thats a briliant thread. I want to share my thoughts on this under three different headings because the tweet is quite long :) 1- Everything is starting to look the same. Today, AI isnโ€™t just increasing the amount of content on the internet; itโ€™s making it more homogeneous. When everyone asks GPT or Claude to โ€œwrite this for me,โ€ weโ€™re increasingly getting the same kinds of writing. Thatโ€™s why AI slop isnโ€™t just about bad content anymore; itโ€™s becoming an army of content that all looks and sounds the same.
The internet is Alt + F4-ing itself Being born right at the turn of the century in 2000 let me try @YouTube for the first time when I was 7 years old. @Snapchat a few years later. The first iPod, socials, @facebook before most even knew what social media was. But it's changing:

2 - What do AI users and AI haters actually want? This is actually a very broad topic, but Iโ€™ll try to keep it short. I think trying to โ€œhumanizeโ€ AI instead of getting rid of it could be a way forward for both sides. Rather than: AI app output โ†’ Antislop โ†’ less AI-like output we need to move toward: AI โ†’ Antislop โ†’ more personalized output We shouldnโ€™t simply say, โ€œRemove the AI traces.โ€ We should get to the point where we can say, โ€œWrite this the way @AdeiWeb2 would write it.โ€ That would make the product much more valuable.

3 - The inevitable one! What is Antislop actually trying to solve here? What if Antislop itself is using AI? The goal of Antislop shouldnโ€™t be to turn AI text into another AI-generated text. It should be to serve AI-generated text in a way that feels more like it was written by one of us. Thatโ€™s why, within Antislop, AI-ness should decrease, genericness should decrease, personal voice should increase, and meaning preservation should increase. And at the end of the day, we should reach this sequence: Original AI text โ†’ Antislop โ†’ This actually sounds like me.

If we think about it, there could be so many possible use cases, but I think a few of the most useful ones could be these. 1- Autonomous software development: One agent plans, while others code, test, run security checks, and deploy. 2- Financial/market intelligence: Constantly monitoring thousands of data sources to identify anomalies and opportunities. 3- Personal autonomous agent: Systems running on your laptop/phone that know your personal information and can delegate more complex tasks to powerful agents in the cloud. It could be used in many other areas as well, but I think these three are particularly important, and focusing on them first would be more beneficial.
what happens to data centers and hardware operators if models become efficient enough to run on laptops? the edge of servers is concurrency. Running long horizon projects with numerous agents. That's the difference between artificial intelligence and super intelligence. 24/7 red team + vulnerability patching. 24/7 organizational brain. But do these cases really need a server? What are the most promising use cases?

Are you ready to pay $500 a month for AI? there's numerous levers closed source AI pulls to increase margin. - new models that use more credits in/out - embedded bloat (yappy replies, inefficient thinking) - reduce the number of credits allocated to each plan in hourly / weekly limits - introduce new plans at higher costs you get the same utilization at $500 for new models that you used to at $100 for old ones. It won't stop until the subscription price is the API price. the output will be far greater, however. It's the natural path for maturation of the AI industry. The cost for leveraging superintelligence will become a filter for businesses and individuals that want to compete at the highest level. businessinsider.com/chatgpt-โ€ฆ
