📅 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, August 27th, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 |📍 Dar Es Salaam , Tanzania I was honored to speak at the concluded Internet Governance Tanzania Working Group (IGTWG) Workshop The workshop brought together key stakeholders to explore the evolving digital landscape, focusing specifically on strengthening collaboration with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to build a more secure digital environment During my presentation , titled "Cybersecurity Fundamentals for CSOs and Developing a CSO Cybersecurity Action Plan," I spoke on on critical digital vulnerabilities facing Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) due to their sensitive data custody and restricted IT resources I also highlighted that effective defense relies heavily on cultivating a human-centric culture of cyber awareness alongside strict technical hygiene, such as mandatory multi-factor authentication and secure device protocols Ultimately, the session provided a strategic roadmap for CSOs to transition from passive awareness to active readiness by establishing routine risk assessments, clear incident response frameworks, and continuous compliance audits tailored to Tanzania's evolving digital regulatory environment Thank you to the organizer (@MediaConvergecy ) and all the CSO leaders for their insightful contributions Fostering an ongoing dialogue between technical working groups and civil society remains vital to achieving a secure, inclusive, and resilient digital ecosystem in Tanzania.
