25 years ago they ran into the World Trade Center, @fdny lost hundreds of their colleagues. Their memorial wall has space for too many more. 25 years later the cost is still becoming clear. Important work from @jonathan4ny nbcnewyork.com/video/on-air/…

NBC News: NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch says that 51 y/p Raul Morales is under arrest in connection with stabbing an Asian man and a Jewish man on the Upper West Side and witnesses say he yelled "Allahu Akbar" during both attacks. The incident will be looked at as a possible hate crime and Tisch says that they believe mental health may have been a factor.

A great reporter I've followed since his Texas days and a huge loss for @washingtonpost. I wish you only the best.
I was laid off today from the Washington Post’s campaigns team covering the midterms and 2028. I hear this is an important election year — and I want to cover it aggressively. If you’d like to work together, my DMs are open and you can email me at [email protected].

As a @washingtonpost subscriber and DC journalist, my heart and mind ache for those laid off. It's hard to take. But how to register that - is there a message in cancelling a subscription or does it hurt the journalists still there even more? What are you doing?

I was laid off today as part of The Post's job cuts. I don't know what the future holds, but it was the honor of a lifetime to cover D.C.'s local communities over the past 6 years. If you're hiring or want to reach out, DM me or email: mbricesaddler(@)gmail(dot)com

I was among the layoffs at @washingtonpost today. It has been an absolute dream to be a small part of this incredible team. Covering the Caps has been an honor; being a beat writer is an all-consuming thing that I love deeply. I hope I’ll get to continue that in whatever is next

Kinda obscure, but a big deal for public access to DC records: The Court of Appeals ruled today that Bowser has to disclose agency budget requests. Basically, this is how much money agencies say they need (often quite different from what they get): dccourts.gov/sites/default/f…
