There remains an active lawsuit to force enforcement of ethics laws against Winsome Earle Sears. Jay Jones' office is representing her just as Miyares' office did. Virginia pols in power tend to protect each other, regardless of political party.
Seems like a good opportunity for reform-minded Virginia legislators to introduce legislation /rule changes that plug these gaps. And for GOP members who want to force the Dem majority to kill etics reform legislation.
