i remember when i got my hands on an action replay for the first time as a kid and i felt like i was doing dealings on the black market

one thing about star rail i'll never get is why the devs literally either ignore DOT completely or give it such a disgusting buff that lets shit like this clear
they've been getting cooked for this but they're right depending on your perception of the "meta"
low score clears like less than 30k da/shiyu? it's wrong
pursuing higher scores like 40k+? it's right
zzz players just largely perceive the former as the meta's representation
if you're one of those characters, you're rarely going to score high unless it's a rare but very beneficial enemy matchup and/or stage buff
take manato this shiyu, for example, who you're seeing score ~35-40k with dialyn + lucia.
now dial it back to the previous shiyu. no. the shiyu before that. not even with m2 dialyn. the one before that. no. etc.
but 25k? absolutely.
and this is a fine thing imo! it happens in all these games. some people get satisfaction out of pursuing high scores, and that realm of scores = the meta. others aim for what will secure them rewards, and that = the meta
it's just always funny to me bc people use the exact opposite language when talking about star rail though lmao
zzz's playerbase is much more chill when it comes to 20k da clears or 25k shiyu clears
in hsr if ur team didn't 1 cycle with a sustain or 0 cycle sustainless, it's bc powercreep ruined ur team and the game is gonna eos 馃槶
