the epic games store is so funny cuz, wdym their whole client is a UE4 game with multiple webviews locked to 30fps, with the most terrifying backend in the world using multiple services written in completely different languages / stacks.

very early, but i thought it would be fun to try making a bb -> gd transpiler and write a Blitz3D "runtime" for Godot. it uh, kinda works?? A bit crashy since a lot of things are stubbed but it does run. This is the original .bb source for the updated containment breach running.

people that consider the steam machine a Valve failure need to consider two things: a. current ram prices are stupid b. you don't need to buy a steam machine to use Steam, or even SteamOS. 🧵 1/2

if you extrapolate from the price increase on the steam deck (although, not really comparable because it uses LPDDR5 as opposed to the *desktop* DDR5 + the GPU's GDDR6) the price increase is fairly reasonable all things considered. 🧵 2/2

a reminder the minecraft mods are by definition arbitrary code, and you should treat them with the same caution you do regular executables.
