Jase Richardson is 1/11 but just played a huge role in a double digit halftime deficit comeback without making an impact as a scorer
Strong playmaking + incredible hustle to win plays with the most energy as the smallest player on the floor. That stuff scales long-term
I thought Pryce Sandfort was by far the best player on the floor in the Nebraska Providence game. He was not phased by Miles Byrds defensive intensity at all who is NBA level defender. Nebraskas offense was a night and day difference with him on the floor T20 prospect comfortably
Watching the Indiana Pacers play extended basketball without Tyrese Haliburton makes me even more confident in him being a firm top 10 player in the NBA. They are basically a lottery team when he doesn’t play.
Providence Nebraska is an underrated matchup from an NBA draft perspective. I hope we see some of Miles Byrd guarding Pryce Sandfort. I think seeing Sandfort matched up against an elite defensive playmaker in Byrd will be a good test for Sandforts high assist to turnover ratio.
The 2028 NBA draft might be another all time class with the amount of star power it will have at the top.
Colben Landrew tonight:
• 14/8/2
• 75% FTR | 37.5 3PAR
• 60 2P% (3/5)
• 2 AST - 0 TOV
• 8 Boards, 2 on O
Neat as a support piece on O, release a bit slow but his shooting relative to position and frame is nice. Boards and strength creation 😮💨
That Sixers game was frustrating for a number of reasons but I think they were due for some regression defensively and I don’t believe it’s worth having major takeaways from a game in where Joel shoots that poorly his mobility on defense was still encouraging to me.
Colben Landrew showed all the flashes of why he’s a potential top 10 pick against Michigan. I thought his energy off the bench really swung the game for UConn. His skill set can fit on any team no matter the context.

The Magic are currently 12th in the East with Franz Wagner as their unquestioned #1 option and yet, it’s #NotHisFault
why his fully realized playmaking, 5th factor influence and stabilization of ORL’s floor on D is the brightest spot in the roughest offensive context in the NBA
6'8 or taller players to average a 40% or higher assist rate:
Nikola Jokic
Lebron James
Magic Johnson
2027 Franz Wagner
+5.6 Transition Frequency On/Off (99th%ile)
28.1 Halfcourt AST% (3rd)
68.6% at the rim (career-high)

Jalen Green has been this season about the worst player in the league. Not predicted to stay there but also not predicted to be good (about -1)

If Patrick Ngongba can shoot threes like he’s showing vs Costal Carolina he might have a case for being a top 2 pick in the class. He does everything you want in a modern big.

Kyshawn George has had a drastic Creation rts% leap, despite his college 22 TOV% w/ an offball role: 17 USG%. Yet, according to HALI, he was 99th %ile in the intersection of UA2%, AST/USG, 3par & 3p%, getting to the rim and playmaking at an outlier rate compared to other shooters
Tyler Tanner Najai Hines Davis Fogle are the most slept on guys in this list. Good to see Malachi Moreno get lottery buzz I think he’s in for an extremely impactful season on both ends of the floor.

The Darius Acuff situation is fascinating. There’s a chance he puts up some pretty historic PRA numbers on his rookie scale deal for the Kings but I don’t think he has any chance to actually contribute to winning basketball at the highest level playing this way.

It’s one game against an inferior opponent but I think Tyler Underwood should be the most sought after coach this hiring cycle if he wants to do it. Illinois offense has been one of the best units in the country since he’s been the offensive coordinator there.
Gonzaga's game against Purdue showed why I'm in on Davis Fogel as a lottery pick. A 6'7" wing that can dribble, pass, and shoot while not being a liability on defense is a skill set every team is looking for. He was a little inefficient, but he got to the line at will in the 2H.
And he was initiating all of Gonzaga's offense down the stretch. This game also highlighted both the strengths and weaknesses of Masamba Diop. The flashes he showed by making a 3 and a block early which show the upside, but the lack of feel was there with his turnovers and fouls.
