Europe's Starlink rival is turning into real orders. • @IndraCompany booked €1.926B of IRIS² orders in Q3 alone • @MDA_space got a C$100M+ go-ahead from Thales Alenia for antennas on the first 66 sats • Those sats launch from 2029 MDA page: spacecyborg.com/markets/mda.…
11
The numbers behind it, from SpaceX's Q3 filing: • AI (Super Intelligence) revenue $7.56B, above Starlink's $5.25B • 1.7 GW of compute online on Sept 30 • Q3 capex $19.6B, $16.4B of it on AI Breakdown: spacecyborg.com/news/spacex-…
The other supercompute projects are unable to reach their goals, but SpaceX is already achieving ours

In a new filing, @SpaceX told @FAANews it expects to fly 10,000 launches a year. On its own. For scale, the whole US flew 182 FAA-licensed launches in 2025. The ask: charted launch corridors, airspace approval within 48 h, no fees. Starship hub: spacecyborg.com/topics/stars…

Starbase This Week (2026-11-01) | Written by @Bastiaan_2 A productive week at Starbase, vehicle construction continues, and a Starship Cabin mockup for HLS is currently being constructed inside of the Starfactory?!?! This and more in Starbase This Week. Production Site Starting this week off at Megabay 2, the new occupant Ship 45 has received both the last liquid methane section and the common dome section, completing the methane tank and starting the liquid oxygen tank. With 3 more barrel sections and the transfer tubes you have yet another completed ship. While Flight 15 is (hopefully) around the corner. If S45 is completed before another Ship leaves the Megabay, SpaceX does not have the room to start the stacking process of S46 as S40, S42 through S45 are occupying all of the workstands and turntable. Moving to Megabay 2, Booster 24 completed its stacking process this week, with the booster liquid oxygen landing tank stand rolling out, we knew that it was time for the methane tank of B24 to be placed on top of the already completed liquid oxygen tank, sitting on the front left turn table. Using the landing tank stand as a stand to switch bridge cranes to reach the LOx tank. Massey's S42 and S43 both left MB2 this week to complete testing, where S42 conducted both a single engine static fire, this test the de orbit capability and rather than using the main LCH4 and LOX tanks it uses the header tanks, and S42 conducted a six engine static fire test to test all of the engines like we see during the assent phase. S43 left before S42 and conducted its cryo testing campaign at Massey's, the test before it receives its engines for its static fire testing campaign, or is it? After the cryo tests, S43 rolled back to the Production Site to be placed onto a ship transport stand and was rolled to the Launch Site for what seems like catch testing, similar from what we have seen from S42 after it completed its cryo test campaign a few months ago, how time flies. B23 went to Massey's again this week. After it conducted its cryo test two weeks ago, the booster cryo stand was moved inside MB2 to pick up B23 yet again. During its stay at Massey's, no visible activity occurred surrounding B23, it could have been that B23 only conducted an ambient pressure test and from B18 we have learned that even those events can end up energetic if something is wrong. So if SpaceX found something wrong or something was damaged after the cryo test, it is better to be safe than sorry and perform a pressure test at Massey' s rather than finding out at the Pad with a fueled booster. Launch Site B22, the booster that will be used for Flight 15, completed its static fire testing campaign last week. With no time to waste, SpaceX lifted the booster from the OLM onto the booster transport stand and was rolled back to MB2 for pre-flight checks. Launch and HLS Mockup With both vehicles undergoing pre-flight checks, according to CADENA Flight 15 has a no earlier than (NET) date of 12 November. This of course could change as SpaceX has yet to receive a modified launch license that would allow for a Ship catch at Pad 2. While we already had our suspicions of a possible Cabin mockup already being produced inside the Starfactory, this week we have learned that indeed, SpaceX is building this mockup for testing, including human-in-the-loop testing. This will be a major milestone for SpaceX as this will bring them yet a step closer to bring human boots onto the Lunar service yet again during Artemis 4. We will keep an eye out for further details on both Cabin mockup and the date of Flight 15. And if you want to join us in humanities space journey come back next week for another Starbase This Week. Starlink saves lives
✨️🚀Starlink saves lives, and this time it was right here in Britain. 🇬🇧✨️🚀 🔥A walker fell into a hornets' nest down a steep bank in Cumbria. The rescuers had no mobile signal, but Starlink got the call through, and the walker is safe. ✝️"My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:2 (KJV) Thank you @SpaceX @elonmusk 🙏 Image: SpaceX

Wednesday, a probe reaches the asteroid NASA's DART smashed into. @esa's Hera arrives Nov 4: • Closing speed now ~20 m/s after a 70 m/s braking burn • Gravity ~40,000x weaker than Earth's, so no orbit: 3–4 day arcs within 20–30 km of Dimorphos Story: spacecyborg.com/news/esa-her…

Hubble has no engine, and its orbit is decaying. @NASA is asking companies how to save it: • Boost it to 600+ km, service it, or deorbit it safely • Reentry odds: 10% by Sep 2032, 50% by Dec 2033 • Industry answers due Nov 30 Full story: spacecyborg.com/news/nasa-as…

Power is the constraint at the edge too, and it can be measured. @BrainChip_inc's docs show an AKD1000 reference board classifying ImageNet-style images at 51 fps, 981 mW average, 19.13 mJ per frame (idle floor included). doc.brainchipinc.com/power_n…
He who shapes power, data centers, chips and models into an economically feasible endpoint, disproportionately shapes AI/SI right now. Why? Power is THE binding constraint in AI/SI. Few really have it. Data centers don’t work without power. This is not about promises of power tomorrow. Or forecasted power in 2028. Power TODAY. Chips can’t operate profitably unless installed in a functional data center. If you can install chips, it’s because you’ve solved the power problem. Models aren’t economically viable unless run on cost effective infrastructure which requires a functional data center with low input costs and reliable management. This can’t happen without power. AI/SI ROI doesn’t pencil unless models generate profitable outputs which necessarily needs functional data centers as the critical input. Again, power. Ergo, he who can shape data centers, chips and models together into a tightly coordinated stack is someone who has solved power. Solving power allows you to disproportionately shape AI/SI right now.
