I am speechless. Thomas Aquinas College just dropped a study on the rigor of the new SAT.
It compares the 1980/87 test with 2026. The findings should terrify every parent and teacher...
Vocabulary has collapsed.
Old SAT: 70.6% of questions tested vocab.
New SAT: 15%.
The old test forced students to know a wide range of words through analogies, antonyms, and sentence completions. The new test abandoned that. Most vocab questions now just ask students to fill in one blank from context.
Reading passages also got radically shorter (average ~97 words vs 300–340).
The new test uses short expository passages and hands you the necessary background knowledge inside the text. The older tests leaned much more heavily on argumentative and persuasive writing, assumed far more historical, scientific, and cultural knowledge, and penalized students who lacked it.
This is a redefinition of what "college readiness" means.
If you believe that kids should develop rigorous vocabulary, be capable of sustained reading, and possess background knowledge, I have bad news for you. The SAT no longer measures these.
If you want a future where children can actually read difficult texts and construct complex arguments, the SAT must be replaced now.
This cannot go on.
We were concerned that the SAT has become a less reliable measure of student preparedness for a rigorous college curriculum.
So, we commissioned a study from Johns Hopkins University. What does this study tell us about the state of higher education?
The results are shocking. thaq.co/4iLThZ0

BREAKING: The DOJ’s “Operation Ghostbusters” has flagged 830,840 potentially fraudulent federal student aid IDs, tied to nearly $130 million, in a scheme that allegedly used stolen American identities to enroll fake “ghost students” and send the aid money to Kenya.
5 charged, $32M+ in confirmed losses so far, $750K+ in crypto seized, and DOJ estimates the total fraud since 2021 at well over $200 million.

She had been filming with Netflix the last 2 years and came out with the allegations just in time to promote the movie
The explosive lawsuit brought by Jane Doe against Cornell University has sparked vocal protests on campus and visceral backlash online.
INSTADOCS: JANE DOE v. CORNELL examines the often-flawed systems that investigate student sexual assault claims — including campus police and Title IX, the process for reporting sexual misconduct at most U.S. universities. Premieres October 29.

Today’s @nytimes article on @IlhanMN advances the story, but I believe it to be a “limited hangout” intended to focus the blame for @IlhanMN not being prosecuted for so long on one MN US attorney.
The blame should rest on the top Obama DOJ officials in DC, many who stayed to undermine Trump’s first term. And later, Biden’s top DOJ officials in DC.
(Reposting a previously deleted post to correct an error: The US attorney named by the @NYTimes is a Democrat who has since opposed Omar, not a Republican. My defense of him stands: It is unreasonable to suggest that he is responsible for the decision to not prosecute Omar, and I suspect he is being thrown under the bus.)
The @NYTimes, once again, published a story about @IlhanMN without including any of the long-public evidence against @IlhanMN.
By doing so, the @NYTimes was able to craft a narrative that chiefly blames the 2016 US Attorney in MN.
He is the only source they named in the article.
The @NYTimes described its *unnamed* sources in two ways that shield higher officials in the Obama Administration's disgraceful DOJ -- which, at the time, was targeting Trump with Russiagate -- from specific blame:
1. The @NYTimes sources are described as apolitical:
"[C]urrent and former officials, most of whose law enforcement careers spanned several presidential administrations."
Of course, this description directs the reader away from top Obama Administration officials -- who would have been making the call on prosecuting @IlhanMN. We now know that many remained embedded in Trump's DOJ, and undermined his agenda throughout his first term.
2. The @NYTimes lets those top officials off the hook by alluding to them as stand-up prosecutors whose hands were tied by the letter of the law:
"[T]hat case stalled chiefly because prosecutors concluded that the potential crime, a felony, fell outside a five-year statute of limitations."
Of course, as everyone who has read the long-public evidence knows, a stunning range of potentially chargeable instances of fraud -- all originating with the father fraudulently bringing Ilhan into America with a false name and their false "Omar" family, which has no statute of limitations -- were immediately evident in 2016.
Just for one example:
Does anyone find it plausible that a truly apolitical DOJ would shrug its shoulders while holding evidence that MN was about to elect a candidate who must have perjured herself all over her candidate-filing paperwork?
Ridiculous. An insult to the @NYTimes readership.
Here's the truth:
No, the MN US attorney in the story is not the person who deserves all the blame.
The DC Obama DOJ officials and other law enforcement officials who remained to undermine Trump's first term are to blame.
When Trump's second term began, he fired many of the Executive Branch law enforcement officials who intended to undermine the 2024 election results.
THAT'S WHEN HSI FINALLY CALLED ME.
They were particularly interested in this article (linked below) that I published back in 2019. That's the key article which I believe gets any objective reader beyond reasonable doubt.
Folks: Please just read the following X article I posted last week. It includes a list of all 25 links to the @IlhanMN investigative articles written by myself, Scott Johnson, and Preya Samsundar from 2016 to 2020.
If you finish the 25 articles, I expect you won't have any questions remaining about @IlhanMN's past.
And I expect you won't have any remaining questions about how the Democratic Party, the @NYTimes, and the rest of the media managed to keep you in the dark for 10 years.
If you do, please ask them below.

Leftists will look you in the face and tell you unironically that this is "diversity"
I’m proud to have the most talented, hardest-working cabinet in Virginia’s history. They are also the most diverse cabinet Virginia has ever seen.
Every single one of our cabinet secretaries were selected because they’re the best of the best in their respective fields. They also bring invaluable perspectives from across the Commonwealth — from Danville, Hampton Roads, Richmond, NOVA, and more.
I’m grateful to get to work with these incredibly dedicated, hard-working, and talented cabinet officials to serve the Commonwealth of Virginia.

NYT reports today that the Obama DOJ first started investigating Ilhan Omar (alias) marriage to her brother ten years ago. “Federal agents in Minnesota opened an investigation, according to several people familiar with the matter. They found evidence suggesting that Mr. Elmi and Ms. Omar were siblings, according to the six former and current officials familiar with the case. But, because prosecutors did not pursue the matter, the agents had limited investigative tools, the officials said.”
After rumors of the sham marriage—it was well known in Minneapolis’ Somali community back then—threatened to derail her run for state representative, the Obama appointed U.S. Attorney for Minnesota stepped in to save her with this extraordinary letter to her attorney.
She was elected to Congress in 2018.
Andrew Luger was later rewarded with the same appointment from Joe Biden. He then worked closely with—guess who?—Lisa Monaco.

Brazilesota Communists are trying to make James O’Keefe a political prisoner for the “crime” of exposing their systemic election fraud.
The full weight of the federal government needs to stop this leftist tyranny.
James O’Keefe on the Felony Charges for Exposing Fraud in Minnesota:
This is not political. It is fundamental. It is about whether citizens still have the right to question their government. This is now a landmark First Amendment case, and every American’s right to speak truth to power has been put on the line.
Weaponized lawfare does not work against me. It has always backfired on the people who come after me. Most people find criminal charges and lawsuits stressful; the process becomes a form of punishment. But I love this process because it gives me the opportunity to expose injustice at the highest levels. My foundation will be indemnifying members of the Justice League, including @camhigby for their lawful reporting.
I’m calling on all Americans, and especially all journalists, to stand united on a message to the prosecutors in Minnesota: the politics of fear will not prevail in the United States of America.

Would be cool if you would, as you put it, “proactively conduct immigration enforcement operations.”
Maybe we wouldn’t need to be in your jurisdiction in the first place.
.@GrooganFox26 I think some important context is worth sharing.
As Sheriff, I’m legally obligated under Texas law, including SB 4, to comply with applicable federal immigration detainers.
Unlike municipal police departments, HCSO operates the county jail, where individuals are booked by numerous law enforcement agencies.
There’s an important distinction between proactively conducting immigration enforcement operations and complying with legal requirements involving individuals already in custody.
It’s also important to distinguish between transferring someone to ICE custody and deportation. They are not the same thing.
Regardless of where anyone stands on immigration policy, my responsibility is to follow the law, respect constitutional protections, and treat everyone with fairness and dignity.

NEW UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATION: I spent several months investigating a nationwide network of advocacy organizations and medical providers helping families continue medically transitioning their children in defiance of state laws.
My investigation centers on Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE), an LGBT advocacy nonprofit that connects families with cooperating medical providers across the country. CSE has distributed over $1 million in travel grants to more than 1,200 families, plus another $1 million to partner organizations, including funding for medical appointments.
With CSE's knowledge, providers in its referral network told me the ways that they circumvent state restrictions on gender-transition treatments for minors.
Some discussed using alternative diagnosis codes, such as “endocrine disorder,” to facilitate prescriptions or insurance coverage. Others described mailing medications directly to families' homes or sending prescriptions to pharmacies in states where these interventions are banned.
Providers also discussed conducting virtual appointments with patients in those states. Others required patients to cross state lines for telehealth but did not appear to have a reliable method for verifying their physical location.
My primary undercover scenario involved an 11-year-old girl in Tennessee who had only recently begun identifying as nonbinary, with no long history of gender-related distress. The providers I shared this scenario with seemed eager to treat her. Many indicated that puberty blockers could be prescribed after an initial evaluation lasting just one to several hours.
My investigation uncovered practices that may violate state and federal laws and pose medical risks to children living hundreds or thousands of miles from their treating physicians.

NEW: Yesterday, @CalMatters published a sympathetic profile on a “Fresno father” who was “suddenly” deported by ICE to MX. He told the outlet he’s not a criminal & doesn’t know why he was targeted.
However, I’m told by federal sources that he has been deported from the U.S. five times before, he has an active deportation order, he has pending felony aggravated assault charges from November 2025, he has decades old convictions for DUI w/ bodily injury & negligent discharge of a firearm that resulted in prison sentences, and he admitted in a consensual interview w/ ICE that he’s been a member of the Fresno Bulldogs street gang.
I’m told his real name is LUIS ALBERTO ARREGUIN-VILLA, and he was previously deported from the US in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2003, and 2005, and that he admitted in an interview that he last crossed illegally into the U.S. in 2005 near San Ysidro, CA.
Under federal law, illegal re-entry after deportation is a felony via 8 USC 1326. He has illegally re-entered at least five times.
None of this context appears in the Cal Matters report.
