"State leaders put the care and quality of life of New York's most vulnerable citizens up for negotiation. Their final agreement continues a pattern of neglect we've fought for decades to overcome"

We couldn’t agree more — representation matters. But so does resource stability, equity & accessibility. To truly show that NY values those with I/DD, the government must invest in the support systems that allow them to thrive, starting with an 8.5% COLA in this year's budget!
This is an important step for furthering inclusivity.
Representation matters, and New Yorkers are helping to lead the way!

Our leaders have the power to ensure New Yorkers with I/DD are safe, well-cared, and equipped with the resources they need to thrive. So why are so many being left behind?

NY's I/DD community is in crisis. Tell @GovKathyHochul @CarlHeastie & @AndreaSCousins:
Nonprofit service providers need AT LEAST an 8.5% COLA increase to maintain vital programs and services and recruit and retain staff. Anything less leaves our entire system in jeopardy.
