There's a trick I see people use disingenuously during online discourse that I you urge to spot and not fall for Its when someone dismisses a legitimate concern by arguing that other, supposedly more serious problems deserve attention It's called the 'FALLACY OF RELATIVE PRIVATION' Say you raise a concern about potholes on a road you use often and you post about it. A random user will come and say that at a time when people are starving and there's no medicine in hospitals how dare you speak about potholes The reason why it's fallacious and most of the time not done in good faith is 1. The existence of a greater problem does not invalidate a lesser one 2. If only the most serious problem deserves attention, virtually every concern can be dismissed by identifying something worse. 3. Society can address multiple problems simultaneously. 4. It's often a veiled trick to shift from the merits of the argument to whether the issue even deserves to be discussed at all

Hii kitu inaitwa intersectionality. Labda watu wapewe masterclass aki. Cause mbona kuna competition ya watu kukuwa oppressed. People are so quick to put others down yet their own issues haven't been solved and at the same time, they don't see how all these issues are intertwined

There really is hope. In Kenya people are concerned about trans women in bathrooms, in Brazil a trans woman is one of the most powerful politicians and led the charge for a 5-day work week. Stop creating imaginary panics, and fight capitalism and imperialism, like everyone else!
Una mujer trans siendo la congresista más votada de Brasil junto a Lula siendo nuevamente el presidente de Brasil, hay esperanzas en Latinoamérica 😭⭐️❤️

Hakuna mtu ameaddress the safety issue for these guys and that's all I wanted to confirm. Mtawaprop up online, cheer them on but their abuse is theirs to hold. They are men anyway and men shouldn't complain about being victims of abuse. Okay

"I am not phobia anything" proceeds to be phobia anything. Kids will be kids regardless. If you sexualize them, man or woman, you are weirdo and you deserve jail
I'm not phobia anything, but I agree w her tbvh. Mother's change their kids in those rooms. You will in fact, half the time find naked kids running around in those washrooms. Please let the male gender use washrooms labeled as M, until we have gender neutral lavatories. Cmon.

People on this app bana, I want to agree with some of your takes but stop because of the way you pass across your points. The name-calling, the personal attacks, the disgraceful tones?? You want to be heard but you’re no different from a mongrel😒

People are concocting imaginary scenes of violence in public bathrooms when there are plenty of real scenes and conditions of violence that are yet to be dealt with. You’re all fighting ghosts. GBV is real and men don’t have to deceptively enter your bathrooms to do it.

“Why are women expected to accommodate” is such an annoying framing when the only request is simply mind your own business as people typically do in bathrooms 😭

Let me make something clear because people keep deliberately missing my point. WOMEN HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE IN PUBLIC SPACES. Their safety, privacy and dignity matter. Sexual harassment and assault are real concerns, and women should never be expected to tolerate abuse. But what I am calling out is the assumption that cross-dressers and gender-nonconforming people are inherently dangerous simply because of how they look or dress. I am calling out the use of women’s safety as a blanket justification for humiliating, excluding or treating an entire group of people as predators without evidence of wrongdoing. You cannot claim to care about safety while ignoring the harassment and violence these same people may face when forced into spaces where their appearance makes them targets. We can discuss privacy, safeguarding, appropriate facilities and how to respond to actual misconduct without dehumanising people. These are not mutually exclusive concerns. Women deserve safety. Gender-nonconforming people deserve dignity and safety, too. One group’s rights do not automatically cancel out another’s. My argument has never been that women should sacrifice their safety. It is that safety must be addressed through evidence, sensible policies and accountability for actual misconduct... not assumptions about people’s bodies, clothing or appearance.

A child might be curious or surprised, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re unsafe or traumatised. Children see people who look different every day. The solution is age-appropriate explanations, not treating gender-nonconforming people as predators. – at Nairobi, Kenya
Replying to @MwenjaMuhoro
I need you to view from a kids perspective...most ladies dont close their doors when we use the washroom now imagine a kid seeing a full grown man with a wig and makeup urinating... What do you think will cross that girls mind?

There shouldn't be trans anything when it comes to kids and this is where I draw my line when it comes to transgenderism!!
Can we talk about the horror stories of trans girls and boys in their developmental years especially in boarding schools? Can we all purpose to understand them?

You can acknowledge that patriarchy influences women's choices without assuming that every woman who chooses something such as marriage is a victim who doesn't know any better. Women have their own reasons, desires, experiences, contradictions & aspirations.

Your niece is not a prop for your transphobia. A man wearing a wig and a dress is not automatically a threat to children. If you have evidence of someone harming a child, present it. Otherwise, stop sexualising strangers and pretending your prejudice is parental protection. – at Nairobi, Kenya
Those boys wearing wigs and dresses on TikTok want to use the women's restroom. No way I'm letting a man with a dick make my 6 y/o niece uncomfortable in the bathroom just because he put on a wig and a dress. You know you're uncomfortable using the men's room, so you want to transfer that same discomfort to my niece? Get your raggedy ass to the bush! 😂

So much hatred comes from believing we're superior to others. Homophobia, racism, tribalism, misogyny, xenophobia, religious intolerance, and animal exploitation all reflect a failure to respect those different from us. Different doesn't mean inferior. Everyone deserves dignity.

The hypersexualization and assumption that LGBTQIA+ are some sexual deviants is disturbing!!! No queer person is looking to take advantage of your child while using the fucking bathroom😒 What you should focus on is actual documented cases of assault! Like the two policemen
