Johnathon Hampton-2029 QB Evaluation and Film Below: SCHOOL: Pelham High School, Pelham (AL)   CLASS: - HS Sophomore POS: - QB HT: - 6’2” WT: - 180 ATHLETIC TESTING/OTHER NOTES: - 3.7 GPA - Dual-sport athlete with Basketball LINKS: - X: @theejohnjohn3 - HUDL: hudl.com/profile/13303430/Jo… - MaxPreps: prepredzone.com/player/johna… SUMMARY: Hampton is a young QB who has grown into his frame significantly from his Freshman season and appears to be a QB operating efficiently. Hampton’s release is lightning quick, allowing him to not feel pressure dialled up by defenses and spread the ball around the field with ease. He sets his feet before throwing wherever possible and releases from a strong base, and rotates his hips, with solid mechanics. The young QB does not seem shy of throwing the ball to any area of the field, regularly targeting sidelines and the middle of the field on any given drive. His ability to extend plays and use his athleticism is also one of his biggest strengths, with the ability to deliver accurate throws while rolling to the left and right. The transfer of his basketball skills and ability to slip a defender is clearly transferable, and Hampton is a threat in open space. Despite being a young QB, there is already plenty of interest in the Pelham HS product, with invites to UAB & Alabama St amongst others, and if he continues operating this offense at a high level, other colleges will be taking notice of the rising Sophomore. @TalkoftheTownFB
