Morning practices are superior to afternoons. - Get up early and get it done - Weather outside is generally cooler throughout most of the year - Less groups want to fight for space - Your club players get a rest if they have night/afternoon practice The biggest factor is your facilities and backup options for weather related conditions.

A Texas school district is looking to get turf fields for middle schools & baseball/softball fields through a portion of its new bond offering this fall. (The fields currently look horrendous) A local Facebook group posted about gathering support for it, and look at some of the comments. This is what you're up against.

No mercy rules in professional sports.

The incentive shouldn’t be punishment. -Offer a stipend increase for driving the bus regularly -Offer miles based pay for coaches that drive far distances (not that extra $25-50 per trip) - Offer one time $$$ incentives for getting the CDL in the first, second and third year. Public schools always have the worst incentivized programs for their staff. Been here 25 years? Cool, here’s a Bluetooth speaker and a pat on the back.
