After nearly 7 years with NACE serving both in Volunteer Leadership, and at the National Office—I've officially wrapped up my time with the organization.
I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunities, the people I worked alongside, and everything we accomplished together.

Four kids at a school can sign up and play in the NECC. They have no in person requirements. They don't require the school to commit to supervising them. What supervision are you expecting?
If this was in NACE I would be infinitely more critical.
1. The amount of smash teams using mods when they are not allowed is a lot higher then anyone thinks
2. People want to attack Fisher for brownie points. Their student population involved in esports is several times larger then multiple other programs put together.
I've been wrestling with the end of our varsity esports program at @TAMUSanAntonio. For four years I led it, and this fall it became a student-led club, with me moving from head coach to advisor.
Love to see the number of teams collegiate is feeling growing!
Good luck to all the operations teams this year.
The amount of quote tweets I’ve written out and then deleted in the past few days is hilarious.
Not every opinion needs to be shared, and burning bridges for the sake of the fire is never worth it.
Our social media is an extension of our self.
Be kind, be hungry, be humble.
I log in to like 10 of these every time I boot up LOL.
Are these like slaps on the wrist or are they actually punishing people, because there's no way this many people are actually getting punished and its still this rampant.
Mid laner trolls, locks in Yuumi middle.
I do everything I can to win the game anyway. ADC reports me because he thinks I'm duoed with Yuumi. Gets a warning LOL.
This is why it's important to have a long term platform partner.
You build consistency, expectations, and knowledge. Registration is one of the most painful parts of competing in and running leagues.
Change for the sake of change brings chaos.
Each year, it feels like I have to open a ticket with league admins because something goes wrong during team sign-ups.
I understand many of these platforms operate on limited budgets and weren’t originally designed for collegiate esports—but needing support just to get teams registered year after year feels ridiculous.
Is anyone else running into this? If so, what would you most want changed or improved about these platforms?
Alyssa was fantastic as a member of the Competition Council. I have no doubts she will excel in this role.
