Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing... The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer. - TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely. - LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap. - OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for. These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure. foxio.io/blog/choose-your-ba…

Posting logs with exploit details is awesome 🚀 and helps us test detections. Here's my yara based Velociraptor artifact 🦖, tested against Adel's released PHP2Shell case logs. docs.velociraptor.app/exchan… #DFIR #ThreatHunting
Replying to @0x4D31
added the per-case evidence bundle (PCAPs + Apache/PHP/Tetragon records) to the repo: github.com/0x4D31/honeypot-d…

The private keys for the eMudhra CA were compromised yesterday. Here's all the IPs likely hosting fake eMudhra certificates. These were found using JA4X on hunt.io but you can do the same thing on Censys, Xpanse, Validin, or any other tool running JA4+

Look closely at the detections Samir uses here. What is really interesting about extensions is that some of the best context like developer email, install velocity, and published date are never available on the endpoint. You need to be able to merge this context with code.
Malicious browser extensions can be a tricky attack vector and may go unnoticed, been playing with Elastic workflow + Elastic Defend response console, daily hunt for newly installed browser extensions using file events -> reputation check -> if suspicious -> archive and delete from impacted host -> open case with summary elastic.co/docs/explore-anal…

🎯 Added this Velociraptor artifact on the exchange to assist scoping IOCs related to the recent publicly disclosed Notepad++ supply chain attack. - Find impacted notepad++ versions - Find suspicious files in public reports - Find public reported network urls in running processes - Find Warbird clipc.dll shellcode loader strings 🔗 docs.velociraptor.app/exchan…
Simple scoping for abused/exposed #Notepad++ via #Velociraptor notebook. For installed apps storing registry values, not portable (more likely to be leveraged given update mechansim, AFAIK). In-depth: rapid7.com/blog/post/tr-chry…. I'm sure @mgreen27 has an uber artifact cooking 🔥

#100DaysOfYara 🔎 Messed around with detecting the cool Warbird technique outlined by Rapid7 in their recent Chrysalis blog Velociraptor gives us the unique ability to target the VAD with live analysis: 1. Targeting sections mapped to clipc.dll 2. With PAGE_EXECUTE_READ protection 3. DEADBEEF or CAFEFE in the first bytes 🔗github.com/mgreen27/100dayso…
