I like Star Wars books, philosophy, art, and the funny jedi bird lady. Analysis threads linked below
The Brothers Karamazov, Les Misérables, and Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus
Traitor is also top 5 for sure

I unironically offered a man $1,500 for his Watto at a place once and he took my hand, smiled warmly and said he was family and I understood that even though everything has a price
does anyone else struggle the most with writing the beginning of their story? I always have to do middle -> end -> beginning

Yall got mad bc someone said to start a new paragraph when another character starts talking. Youre too grown.

This is just random appeal to authority, I have also have a masters degree in Literature and I still think that people should be able to discuss/give general advice on writing. Refusing any critique on fanfic as a medium IS actually devaluating it as an art, and there's plenty

I think a key detail about Char that fake Charheads never seem to get is that he's an actual walking contradiction

fanfiction is a form of writing, which means it’s a form of art, whether it wants to be considered as such or not; should art/writing be subject to critique only when it’s serious and being sold? how can you create something and then refuse to have it discussed, judged or valued?

ok but we aren't writing fanfic and minding our own business we are posting fanfic publicly on the fanfic website for consumption lol we are literally asking for engagement by the act of posting on ao3
I cannot fathom the mindset of not wanting someone to tell you if or being completely fine with your work is illegible. the point of writing is to communicate ideas themes and emotions, sorry I do think it matters that people arent misunderstanding what you're trying to say

You think $10.42 for a drawing is overpaid? Are you serious?
