Average Transaction Price of New Car-making Brands in China, Q3 2026
• #NIO (RMB 449k), Luxeed (RMB 424k), and Aito (RMB 419k) lead in average transaction price. However, #LiAuto takes the revenue crown at RMB 30.1B, with its average price sitting mid-tier at RMB 305k.
• #Xiaomi proves its volume with RMB 27.4B revenue at a RMB 271k average, while #Leapmotor rakes in RMB 25.7B at just RMB 120k.
• #Huawei HIMA AITO: Average Transaction Price (ATP) surged by RMB 64k MoM, with the brand ranking first in both ATP and revenue among the brands.

• Fiat led with 46,633 units (down 7.9% YoY), while VW fell 12.9% to 14.4% with 36,537 units. Chevrolet held steady at 28,236 units (11.1%, +4.9%), as BYD surged 136.5% to a record-high 9.5% share with 24,114 units.
• GWM jumped 106.3% to 8th place, surpassing 10,000 monthly units (10,781) for the first time with a record 4.2% share.

#Xiaomi Auto is accelerating its global expansion.
It has set up an International Business Department, featuring an Automotive International Markets Department. That division breaks down into GTM, Sales, Network Development, Delivery & Logistics, Customer Service, General Administration, and Overseas Regional Divisions.
This builds on the Overseas Business Preparation Team formed back in May.
Timeline: H2 2027 (Europe first), then RHD markets in H1 2028.

Brand Sales Volume Rankings in the UK Market, Oct 2026
• Volkswagen led with 13,687 units (+4.1%, 9.0% share), followed by BMW at 8,565 (+0.6%, up five places) and Audi at 8,125 (-12.8%). MG followed closely at 7,837 (+85.1%).
• Jaecoo took No. 9 with 6,089 units (+113.6%), its third straight top-10 finish. BYD followed at No. 10 with 6,065 units (+73.3%).

Two #NIO electric drive systems—the 340kW permanent magnet synchronous system (TZ198Y001) and the 180kW induction system (YS198S003)—have received Yangtze River Delta product carbon footprint labeling certification.
Under the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation’s certification pilot, the NIO-led Product Category Rules for Drive Motor Systems for Electric Vehicles were included in the recommended technical document list.

Yangwang U9X may have hit over 500 km/h in its Abu Dhabi highway top-speed run.
- Earlier this morning, Hu Xiaoqing, General Manager of Yangwang Sales Division, shared a video on social media tagged Yangwang U9X AbuDhabi Top Speed Challenge.
- In the clip, the Yangwang team beside an Abu Dhabi highway fixed their eyes on phone screens before erupting into cheers. No official figure has been released yet, but the scene has sparked huge speculation that the U9X broke 500 km/h.
- Last September, the U9X claimed the world’s top production car speed record with an ATP-certified 496.22 km/h, beating the Bugatti Chiron SS 300+’s 490 km/h.

The Denza N8 will debut multiple features from a new #BYD and vivo partnership.

The current 42-kWh pack offers 420 km of range.

China NEV Cockpit Chip Installations – Q3 2026
In Q3 2026, cockpit chip installations for new energy passenger vehicles in China’s domestic market hit 2.9 million units, up 9.3% QoQ. Growth cooled markedly compared with Q2.
Competitive snapshot (China domestic passenger vehicle market):
• Qualcomm: 63.5% (Q2: 64.2%) — still dominant
• MediaTek: rose to 12.3%
• HiSilicon: slid further to 6.0%

China NEV Cockpit Chip Installations – Q3 2026
#Qualcomm’s cockpit chip installation volume hit 1.87 million units. The 100K–200K RMB segment remained its largest at 46% (down marginally from 47% in Q2), while the share of models above 300K RMB edged down to 16%.
#MediaTek reached 0.36 million units; the 100K–200K RMB bracket stayed its top segment at 40% QoQ flat, yet the share of vehicles under 100K RMB declined to 29%.
#HiSilicon posted 0.18 million units, with chips largely focused on models above 300K RMB. This high-end segment rose to 50% of its total installations, from 45% in Q2
China NEV Cockpit Chip Installations – Q3 2026
#BYD continued to lead #Qualcomm’s NEV brand portfolio, with its installation share climbing to 2% versus 24% in Q2, and Leapmotor’s share also ticked up to 12%.
Within #MediaTek’s customer structure, BYD’s share improved to 23% from 19% last quarter; Nevo retreated to 18% from 21%, and Xpeng fell to 14% after 18% in Q2.
#HiSilicon remained heavily reliant on AITO, though AITO’s share fell notably to 38% from 51% in Q2. Luxeed and SAIC each captured 14% of HiSilicon’s cockpit chip installations in Q3.
#BYD has launched the 2nd-gen Seal 07 in five variants, priced at RMB 139,900–172,900 (~$20,800–25,700, guide price) and RMB 135,900–168,900 (~$20,200–25,100, trade-in price).
L/W/H: 5,080/1,960/1,495 mm; wheelbase: 2,960 mm.
It features the God’s Eye B ADAS and offers both BEV and PHEV powertrains.
• PHEV: 1.5T turbo engine (115 kW) plus a 160 kW drive motor, CLTC EV range up to 330 km and combined range up to 1,700 km.
• BEV: 300 kW drive motor, CLTC range up to 775 km, 0–100 km/h in 5.5 s.
SAIC Motor and Momenta are teaming up on a JV with registered capital of RMB 300M.
According to the announcement, Momenta plans to contribute RMB 153M in subscribed capital for a 51% stake; SAIC Motor plans to contribute RMB 75M for 25%; and Yandian Technology plans to contribute RMB 72M for 24%, with SAIC Motor and Yandian Technology holding a combined 49%.
The move gives SAIC and Momenta a longer-term organizational and capital link for their intelligent driving cooperation.
