The issue with “AI bros” is that they lack vision.
They lack intention.
Everytime a new tool drops, everyone races to see what thing can rip off next.
They taunt you as they recreate something that already exists except, faster, cheaper, and slightly worse.
And when you say “this sucks”, they cannot understand that you don’t mean the quality.
The quality is quite good. Sometimes incredible. The quality is not what sucks.
What sucks is that they aren’t making something with intention.
They have a general end goal in mind and type in the words to get there.
But that’s now how good things get made.
When you are making art, designing, making music, solving problems, beauty is a product of not knowing the end goal.
The goal creates itself as you are creating.

You guys have to give your bots taste because you lack any. Current artists have honed this skill since before we had smartphones. You bots will forever be derivative and unimaginative and you’ll only create a stronger edge for traditional designers

I don’t use AI in my workflow. It just feels numb to me, like I didn’t actually make anything.
I started designing pretty young simply because I liked creating things. I enjoyed the process. I never thought it would turn into a career.
With all the hype around AI right now, it feels like people are missing the point of human creation. For a lot of us this isn’t just a job. It’s also a hobby, sometimes even a form of therapy.
AI mostly helps companies make more money and gain more power. They trained their models on work taken from everyone and call it technological progress.
And the amount of slop flooding every platform is ridiculous. The irony is that people defending it today might also lose their jobs if we don’t keep these companies in check. The recent news about OpenAi is a good example.
Digital revolution? To me it feels more like the devaluation of creativity and human-made work.

AI and digital art should not be lumped together
They said photography wasn’t art.
They said cinema wasn’t art.
They said video games weren’t art.
Now they say AI arts/digital art isn’t art.
I’ve spent over a decade with my studio team turning millions of data points into living, breathing artwork experiences ethically — at MoMA, at the Guggenheim, at the Venice Biennale. Not because a machine told me what to create, but because I had a vision that no traditional tool could realize.
Denying all AI technologies as an artistic medium doesn’t protect art. It limits it. The artists who embrace new tools don’t replace the old masters — they join them.
Art is not defined by the brush. It’s defined by the intention, the emotion, and the courage to see the world differently.
