and btw one of the best ways to prevent this is by making your life rich in movement. find ways to stay active in fun, almost euphoric ways… go dance, go jump, turn exercise into play. be fully rooted into your body and your reality or you will be consumed by what isn’t real.
by the way, your phone is an energy weapon that is sucking away your life force (your free time, your creativity, and your freedom of thought) if you aren't using it strictly as a tool to expand your knowledge and/or create meaningful artwork, it is feeding off of you.

It’s been a quarter century, and I randomly still find myself stopping to ponder how Aaron Sorkin picked Bach’s cello suite for the West Wing episode about Josh’s ptsd. Genius.

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept when it's no longer my circus, the courage to control the monkeys that are still mine, and the wisdom to know the difference.

can confirm.
People who live in areas with brutal winters always overdo summer. Try to fit in as many activities as possible. You can feel the tension with them. Winter is always on their mind, even in the middle of July

Coal miners used to form study groups to read Gibbon & Thucydides. Lincoln and Douglas delivered speeches that lasted three hours with no pauses. C. S. Lewis, like many kids of his era, read Paradise Lost at age nine and was translating Homer by sixteen. The brain rot is real.
In response to the recent "Your Brain on ChatGPT" pre-print that is making the rounds, here's a short history of tech-induced brain rot.
