Just to encourage someone.
When we came, on a student visa (almost 2 decades ago) the route to ILR, for so many, was 10 years. Getting any company to sponsor you if you weren't in the health sector (Dr,nurse, etc) was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
When our student visa ran out,my husband jumped on the post-study work visa(he was the last set before they discontinued it for a while).
The difference btw then and now is that the 10years route then wasn't straightforward. While you are just applying to renew on the same visa category you are already on, then we had to find what visa to jump onto once the one you were on was running out.
So after the post-study work ran out, we had to jump on the entrepreneur visa. We did that for another three years and it ran out.
After that we had to jump again into a student visa(payinginternationalschool fees for another two years). It was while on this visa that we qualified for ILR.
You can imagine how much in fees we had to part with for our family. I don't even want to mention how much that entrepreneur visa cost us.
But,in the end,we got there. And we are recovering.
All the years we spent working for visa fees,we have our passport now and we are recovering.
I know it look gloomy now but 10years will come and it'll go and you will achieve the goal that brought you, then you'll begin to recover.
It's heartbreaking, I know, but as long as they don't change the rules again in the coming years, there's a silver lining.
You'll all be fine.

The opportunities that abroad avails us,and especially our children that we are raising.
It's the reason we left home and came.
The almighty will perfect all. 🙏

messaging my wife a link containing proof of her husband cheating on her from an anonymous instagram account and then when she clicks on it texting her to let her know she failed the family phishing test and she has to retake my cybersecurity course
This is what I’m reading “Wait for them, give them the ball and hit them on the counter. When you lose the ball, walk back to your half, wait for them, and hit them on the counter again”. Bournemouth will feast today 😣🤦🏽♂️
🚨 Michael Carrick: “You should be careful with just saying we are ‘not running’”.
“We’ve won a lot of games over a period of time and this pressing thing, that suddenly everyone thinks about pressing. Pressing is one small part of football. There's all sorts of different ways of what people class as a presslz
“What actually is it? What you're doing it for? Is it to your strength? Is it covering up other spaces? It's just thrown about as a bit of a word at the minute of pressing”.
“You DON’T necessarily NEED to press to win games of football. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. It's just a thing that gets thrown about.”

This is why I love the UK. If it were that other country now, one of them would have pulled out a gun to shoot.

I am in a coach traveling from Manchester to London and it’s currently 2:11am.
I have Zero fear about my safety. I don’t have to pray against kidnappers or blood tasting demons.
There are no pot holes or death traps because my taxes help pay for road maintenance. GBTK

Got quoted £1,100 to tidy my garden and retrain an overgrown tree. I’ve never become a gardener so quickly in my life.

Police gave me this today. They’re sharing it outside some big supermarkets.
They told me to put my key inside and nobody will be able to unlock my car.
Prevention is better than cure. They’d rather share this to reduce car theft, than be looking for a stolen car😅
