My latest is out! In “Juridical Discourse for Platforms,” I explore how online platforms are exploiting analogies to legal rights & courts. Using Facebook’s @OversightBoard as a case study, I critique how this discourse empowers, legitimizes & obscures. harvardlawreview.org/2022/12…

I’m pleased that my law library stopped paying for Quimbee for students after the cost quadrupled. From what I’ve seen, it is full of wrong info and actually hinders their understanding.

A bit late to share this, but still very excited! One of my favorite law school professors published two books recently on law/tech/privacy. Honored to have been involved in the early stages of these books.
Check out these amazing resources!
Delighted to release two new books into the world!
*Dilemmas in Digital Abuse* & *Cybercrime Scenarios* feature lots of “dilemmas” & “scenarios” exploring law/tech issues.

Just the art alone is a reason to look through @thomaskadri two brand new open access books, both dealing with dilemmas & scenarios at the intersection of law & tech. But once you delve deeper into them you will find a great launching pad for class activities, exam hypos, & more.

More excellent reporting from @kashhill on how car apps are enabling stalking & harassment. I was glad to offer my thoughts on possible regulatory responses. Hopefully this coverage will prompt changes in this industry.
In response to my story about how connected car apps can by used by abusers to track and harass, the FCC sent letters today to 9 automakers and 3 phone carriers asking what they do when victims ask for help nytimes.com/2024/01/11/techn…
Her original story is well worth reading — and someone at the FCC clearly thought so too! nytimes.com/2023/12/31/techn…
