Easily my favorite page from a graphic memoir FILLED w/amazing, harrowing scenes & images of a family fleeing communism for freedom in America!
It's unfortunate that this refugee from communism has to keep teaching this willfully ignorant man what REAL communism is all about!
The word “communism” is getting thrown around so…

As a Jew for Palestine who thinks the antisemitism surge is mostly overblown and an irrational panic… anyone on the left using/justifying the term ZOG is a wrecker. It’s one thing to keep perspective re Gaza, another to say Nazis maybe have a point. Zero tolerance for that.

So proud to announce that today @voxdotcom Future Perfect is launching a three-day package on factory farming — and how we can end it. It's led by @mbolotnikova, one of the best reporters and writers on the subject out there (1/x) vox.com/future-perfect/36428….

One of our Palestinian colleagues, Nadi Sallout, was killed tonight near Deir al-Balah, Gaza. He was an integral member of our warehouse team from the early days of our response in Rafah and a humanitarian at his very core. We are still learning the details of this tragedy, but believe he was off duty at the time. Our thoughts and support are with Nadi's family and the rest of our dedicated team around the world as we mourn this tremendous loss. We will update our website as we learn more.

I am rarely amused by front pages of newspapers. But props to Reforma, yesterday for a bit of humor. Breaking a world record, they report, Armand Duplantis could also “jump over Trump’s wall.” And terrific infographic goes with it.

It appears my book about @ZelenskyyUa has been banned in Russia.
Authorities seized a copy of it for posing a "threat to the security of the state, its political and economic interests, and the morals of its citizens," according to the state news agency:

Criticizing Shapiro as too supportive of Israel's conduct of the war isn't antisemitic. Criticizing Israel's conduct of the war isn't antisemitic. Criticizing a Jewish official for their views on Israel isn't antisemitic. Being an official who is Jewish doesn't absolve you from such criticism. Lots of Jews are critical of Israel's conduct of the war, including this Jew and lots of Jews in Israel.

I want to thank whoever paid attention in @JoeBiden's administration and among those who advised it - for inclusion of Alexandra Skochilenko in today's exchange. Some of the Russian political prisoners that we released are opposition leaders or world-famous activists. Sasha Skochilenko is nobody - just a woman who was against the criminal war and wanted to do something. She wrote anti-war slogans on small pieces of paper and posted them in a local grocery store. Spent two years in prison, released today with six years to go. Those who thought about including her in the today's exchange, my gratitude.

I know this story has reached thermonuclear levels of BS and grift-fueled hate on here, but if anyone is actually interested in learning more about Imane Khelif, I found this helpful.

There are a lot of heroes that went into making this photo possible.
I salute all of them.

Huge relief for Evan Gershkovich and his family and friends, but nobody should forget that he was only ever arrested for this moment. Kremlin kidnapping and hostage-taking continues unabated.

Just to clarify: there is zero, zilch, no antisemitism in the @CIJ_ICJ’s ruling that Israel has built settlements in the West Bank with the intention of annexing it, and that there is apartheid, two populations living under different legal systems, in that territory.
This policy is precisely what peaceniks like my late father have been opposing since the earliest settlements in the 1970s. And what Yitzhak Rabin, alone of Israel’s prime ministers, was beginning to undo when he was assassinated in 1995.

This sentence is the cruel and obvious outcome of a ridiculous process.
