"dos-like" is a mini-engine/framework I made a couple of years ago. It makes it easy to make games and other things with a 90s MS-DOS look and feel, but using a modern C compiler and running on Windows, Linux, macOS and in the browser using WebAssembler.

This was one of the most appalling stories I’ve ever looked into: A private equity termite rolled up the fire-truck manufacturing industry between 2016 and 2020—and has spent the last 5 years cashing in: doubling the price of fire apparatus, delaying order deliveries for years on end, and contributing to a crisis of preparedness at fire departments around the country.
So an insane story by @musharbash_b, a private equity roll-up of fire trucks is why more than half the fire trucks in Los Angeles were out of service during the catastrophic wildfires in the Palisades and Eaton.
