How Laja Adeoye Will Reset Lagos
Lagos State stands at a critical crossroads. For too long, residents have endured crippling traffic, an overstretched health system, a deepening housing crisis, and infrastructure that struggles to keep pace with Africa’s largest city. As the 2027 governorship race approaches, the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization is clear: Lagos needs a reset, and Laja Adeoye is the leader prepared to deliver it under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
“Laja Adeoye is not offering more of the same. He is offering a fundamental reset of how Lagos should be governed,” said Kazeem Olalekan Ayodele, Spokesman of the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization. “Our people deserve a city that works, where traffic does not steal hours from their lives, where quality healthcare is within reach, where affordable housing is not a distant dream, and where government serves with competence and urgency.”
Fixing Traffic: From Gridlock to Mobility
Lagos’s traffic crisis is more than an inconvenience; it is an economic and social emergency. Laja Adeoye’s plan prioritizes a multi-layered mobility strategy: aggressive expansion and enforcement of dedicated bus lanes, accelerated completion of critical road corridors, smarter traffic management systems powered by real-time data, and stronger integration of water transport and last-mile solutions. The goal is measurable reduction in average commute times and a city where movement is predictable rather than punishing.
Restoring Health: Primary Care First
The health sector will receive focused attention under a Laja Adeoye administration codenamed LAJACARE. Priority will go to strengthening primary healthcare centres across the state so that basic and preventive care is available close to communities. This will be matched with improved secondary facilities, better welfare and working conditions for health workers, and sustained investment in maternal, child, and emergency care. The vision is a Lagos where no family is forced to choose between seeking treatment and financial ruin.
Housing That Works for Ordinary Lagosians
Housing remains one of the most pressing challenges. Laja Adeoye’s approach centres on scaling up affordable housing delivery through public-private partnerships, unlocking underutilised land, streamlining approval processes, and targeting interventions for low- and middle-income earners. The campaign insists that home ownership and decent rental options must move from campaign rhetoric to measurable results within the first term.
A Broader Reset
Beyond traffic, health and housing, the Laja Adeoye agenda includes smarter urban planning, reliable power and water supply in partnership with relevant agencies, improved security coordination, and a government that is transparent, data-driven and responsive. The campaign emphasises that resetting Lagos requires both big vision and disciplined execution, qualities the organisation says Laja Adeoye has demonstrated in public service and private enterprise.
“Lagosians are tired of excuses,” Ayodele stated. “They want a governor who understands the daily struggles of the market woman in Oyingbo, the young professional stuck on the Third Mainland Bridge, the parent searching for a decent apartment, and the patient waiting for care. Laja Adeoye is that governor. In 2027, Lagos will choose renewal over stagnation.”
The Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization calls on all well-meaning Lagosians to join this movement for a city that works again, a Lagos reset for prosperity, dignity and hope.

RESET LAGOS VS THE LAGOS PROMISE: WHY LAJA ADEOYE'S ÀTUNTỌ ÈKÓ OFFERS A BOLDER VISION FOR LAGOSIANS
|By Olusegun Taiwo
As Lagos State approaches the 2027 governorship election, the debate over its future development is increasingly centred on the policy direction candidates are proposing. Prince Laja Adeoye, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) governorship candidate, has presented Àtuntọ Èkó – Reset Lagos, while Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled The Lagos Promise. Although both manifestos address the state's development challenges, Adeoye's blueprint stands out for its emphasis on structural reforms, economic decentralisation and inclusive governance. Rather than concentrating mainly on expanding existing public services, Àtuntọ Èkó seeks to rethink the systems through which Lagos generates electricity, distributes economic opportunities, administers its communities and delivers development.
One of the most significant proposals in Adeoye's manifesto is electricity independence through Independent Power Projects across Lagos's five traditional divisions, supported by an independent electricity grid. This proposal directly addresses the challenges facing manufacturers, traders, artisans, households and small businesses struggling with high energy costs. His economic agenda also includes industrial hubs, investment attraction, technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture, the blue economy and support for small and medium-scale enterprises. While Hamzat proposes several infrastructure improvements, Adeoye's approach places reliable electricity and economic diversification at the foundation of a wider industrial transformation strategy.
On housing, urban development and grassroots administration, Adeoye proposes affordable housing projects in Epe, Badagry and Ikorodu, supported by markets, commercial facilities and employment opportunities. His proposal to transform the existing 37 Local Council Development Areas into 57 fully recognised local government areas, subject to constitutional requirements, also demonstrates his emphasis on grassroots development and administrative autonomy. This approach seeks to bring government closer to communities and reduce excessive concentration of economic activities in central Lagos. Hamzat, meanwhile, focuses on improving services across the existing local government structure and expanding affordable mortgage opportunities.
In education, healthcare and human capital development, Àtuntọ Èkó proposes improved public education, STEM learning, technical and vocational training, scholarships and stronger healthcare delivery. Adeoye's wider vision recognises that Lagos needs skilled young people capable of participating in manufacturing, technology, agriculture, entrepreneurship and the global digital economy. Hamzat has also proposed upgrading 100 primary healthcare centres, establishing two general hospitals and expanding maternal and child healthcare facilities. These are important commitments, but the APM blueprint deserves attention for connecting education, healthcare and skills development with a broader programme of employment generation and economic empowerment.

What Grey just launched with Paycheck is actually solid behavioural design. Forced split into spending/savings/emergency the moment money lands + interest on the savings portion. This is how you help people who “know” they should budget but never do.
While Osun rides high on Adeleke’s signature mix of governance and pure vibes, Lagos is ready for its own reset. Meet Laja Adeoye — focused on building, leadership, and genuine connection with the people.
