No-one does demagoguery like @alboMP: exploiting tragedy for political gain, appointing a puppet to head the AFP, inventing fake crises so as to implement draconian laws restricting speech. Goebbels would be impressed. Ironic that they accuse Pauline Hanson of "populism".
Dear @AlboMP, You don’t get to trash the country, our economy, explode a housing crisis through mass immigration and destroy individual wealth in a country and get to blame it on social media. We know your wish is to censor the internet - YOU TOLD US. Every prohibition led to worse outcomes. Your exorbitant tobacco & alcohol excise proves that - you created a black market. Your “Voice to Parliament”, followed by your hate speech laws are easily the most divisive laws ever to rule over a ‘democracy’. You alone have done more damage to Australians than any Prime Minister in history. Now you’re trying to capitalise on yet another unrelated tragedy to censor Australians. We see you and we entirely reject the premise of your totalitarian laws. Shame on you, Prime Minister. Shame!

An Open Letter to the University of Sydney @Sydney_Uni @mscott Regarding the appointment of Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice Dear Professor Scott, I read with absolute disgust that the University of Sydney has appointed Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice, where she will apparently be sharing her wisdom on empathetic leadership, social cohesion and civic trust. You cannot be serious. You are quoted as saying: "Dame Jacinda led New Zealand through events of profound consequence and her leadership demonstrated that empathy and resolve do not compete with one another; each can strengthen the other." Appointing Jacinda Ardern to teach social cohesion is rather like appointing Jeffrey Dahmer to teach a course on wellbeing, or Jimmy Savile to run the local daycare centre. The sheer absurdity would almost be funny if the consequences of her leadership weren't so hideously tragic. My name is Alia Bland. I am a co-founder of Voices for Freedom, an organisation established in New Zealand in 2020. For years, we stood alongside tens of thousands of ordinary Kiwis whose lives were torn apart by the policies of Ardern's government. While the international media fawned over her kindness and compassion, we were dealing with the wreckage. At the height of the COVID response, we were receiving upwards of 1,000 emails a day. Desperate people reaching out because they had lost their jobs, their incomes, their homes and, in many cases, their will to live. People nearing retirement were forced to sell family homes they had spent decades paying off. Some are still living in caravans five years later. Marriages collapsed. Families fractured. Lifelong friendships were destroyed. People who had served their communities for decades were suddenly treated like lepers because they declined a medical procedure. Some of the people who came to us had spent their entire lives believing New Zealand was a decent, fair-minded country. Watching that belief crumble, and seeing what it did to them, was heartbreaking. I cannot adequately describe the anguish in those emails. The desperation of parents wondering how they would feed and house their families. The humiliation of hardworking people being marched out of professions they loved. The despair of people who had done everything society asked of them, only to discover that their own government considered them disposable. And presiding over it all was Jacinda Ardern, smiling for the cameras and telling the world how kind New Zealand was. Kind? For whom? Her government deliberately created a two-class society. Ardern herself acknowledged it publicly. New Zealanders were excluded from workplaces, businesses, events and ordinary social life. People were coerced into accepting a medical intervention under threat of losing their livelihoods. And those who suffered adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines faced another nightmare. We fought for vaccine-injured New Zealanders whose lives had been devastated by serious physical harm, while many struggled to have their injuries acknowledged or receive adequate support. The government's public assurances about vaccine safety deserve particular scrutiny. Officials knew about the myocarditis risk, including among young people. We have examined the records. Yet people raising legitimate questions about those risks were routinely dismissed and vilified. The damage went far beyond lost incomes and broken relationships. An enormous number of New Zealanders lost faith in the very institutions they had trusted their entire lives. Government, health authorities, education, police and the media. That trust has not magically returned because Ardern has moved on to more prestigious surroundings. While her government was busy marginalising people, we were building a nationwide support network to help them survive. Voices for Freedom grew to more than 100,000 people on our mailing list, many representing entire families. More than 45,000 people signed up to our local groups across the country, which are still operational today in 2026. We established industry groups to help people fight for their careers, provided support through employment disputes and legal challenges, organised practical assistance and hand-delivered millions of flyers to households throughout New Zealand. We did this while facing censorship, public vilification and government surveillance. Official records obtained since have confirmed that our activities and communications were being monitored and reported on. Our volunteers gave everything they could to help people who had been abandoned by the institutions meant to protect them. And now the University of Sydney wants to hold up the woman responsible for overseeing this period as a shining example of empathy and social cohesion? It is sickening. Professor Scott, did anyone at your university bother to speak with the people whose lives were destroyed under Ardern's leadership before celebrating her appointment? Have you spoken to the former nurses, teachers and police officers who lost their careers? The families who lost their homes? The people still suffering from vaccine injuries? The parents whose children no longer speak to them? Or did you simply swallow the carefully cultivated international image of Saint Jacinda, the compassionate leader who saved New Zealand? I wonder whether you have considered why this internationally celebrated former prime minister now lives in Australia rather than the country she once led. The depth of hostility towards her among many New Zealanders should give you pause. Because I can assure you, there is another side to that story. And there are hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders who live with the consequences. I have no objection to universities studying Ardern's leadership. In fact, I would encourage it. There is an enormous amount to learn from what happened in New Zealand between 2021 and 2023. Like, what not to do... But presenting her as someone uniquely qualified to teach empathy, social cohesion and civic trust, without acknowledging the extraordinary human suffering that occurred under her leadership, is an insult to the people who paid the price. We were there, Professor Scott. We saw what happened. We picked up the pieces. We are still picking them up. Some of those people will never recover what they lost. And the woman who presided over it all gets a professorship in empathy. What an absolute disgrace. Yours sincerely, Alia Bland Co-founder, Voices for Freedom New Zealand

However bad you think it is, it's worse. Here's a perfect fractal example of how science, common sense, and decency have been destroyed. Who's doing this...and why?
I'm a Board Certified anesthesiologist and have been in practice for 24 years. I just learned that the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where I trained has launched a program to increase flu vaccine uptake among children by vaccinating them while under anesthesia. The program is called "Close your Eyes. We'll Immunize" This is stunningly irresponsible. Here's why: Anesthetists are extremely risk avoidant and endeavor to minimize patient exposure to anything which carries potential side effects. This is particularly true of pediatric patients who very often have never been exposed to anesthetic medications. We simply cannot know how an individual child will respond to these drugs for the first time. Every single medication we administer during an operation can potentially trigger untoward or allergic responses. When this occurs our primary responsibility is to stabilize the patient. Our secondary responsibility is to identify the offending agent. There is absolutely no justification of introducing another agent, in this case a flu vaccine, which carries a risk of harm and contributes nothing to the success of the operation. Some of the more common side effects of flu vaccines are fever (11-16%) and less commonly, a rash (1%). There is also an non-zero risk of severe allergic reactions and high-grade fevers which can develop over the course of minutes. What if a child under anesthesia receives a vaccine and develops a rash and/or fever? Is it from the antibiotic that the surgeon requested? Is it from the narcotic? The anxiolytic? The barbiturate? Anesthetic gases can also (rarely) trigger a life threatening response called Malignant Hyperthermia which commonly presents as a high fever. Without subsequent testing we cannot know which agent was responsible. Most commonly the testing is never done and the child’s record will forever reflect the possibility that some or all of the drugs which were used are responsible for their reaction. This makes future anesthetic care significantly more challenging and will require the use of alternatives which may not be necessary. Advocating for a flu vaccine while a child is anesthetized reflects the pervasive yet inaccurate attitude among the medical establishment that vaccines are perfectly safe. I simply cannot believe that my mentors would have ever supported this initiative when I was a resident there. Close your eyes indeed.

Years later, with millions dead, there is still no definitive answer to the origins of COVID-19. Like the Texas Killing Fields, I thought it was a cold case that would never be solved. I was interested in the origins debate, but my background and backyard are in the local oil and gas industry. We might, however, find answers in U.S. documents. In 2021, a U.S. Marine accessed a top-secret Pentagon folder containing a 2018 proposal titled DEFUSE. The Intercept and The New York Times covered the document, but neither questioned the man who wrote it: Professor Ralph Baric of the University of North Carolina. Baric, the coronavirus expert, was asked in the notorious Red Dawn email chain whether SARS-CoV-2 was engineered. He said no, but two years earlier he had proposed engineering a genome just like it. Baric had spoken to the media before the document leaked, but he has since gone quiet. I have since started a UNC petition calling for the release of his pre-pandemic records. American origins for COVID-19? In 2018, Baric proposed “introducing” a furin cleavage site into a SARS-like genome and “providing” it to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for testing on Chinese horseshoe bats. Baric’s proposed SARS-like genome would have been 20% different from SARS-CoV-1, matching the divergence of SARS-CoV-2. More importantly, SARS-CoV-2 remains the only known SARS-like virus with a furin cleavage site. This biological feature enhances airborne transmission. The site became easier to identify after Chinese scientists published the closest known sample, RaTG13. The amino acids PRRAR form the SARS-CoV-2 furin cleavage site (see below), and its origin remains unclear. Baric, however, proposed the insertion in the 2018 DEFUSE document. YECDIPIGAGICASYQTQTNS_____RSVASQSIIAYTMSLGAENSVAYSNN (RaTG13) YECDIPIGAGICASYQTQTNSPRRARSVASQSIIAYTMSLGAENSVAYSNN (SARS2) UNC announced his retirement but has yet to release any of his pre-pandemic documents. We know the details above because of a 2023 Freedom of Information request to the U.S. Geological Survey for Baric’s records. What struck me about Baric’s 2018 proposal to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) was its reference to a Texas mammal many Texans know well: the Mexican free-tailed bat. Because Baric did not have access to Chinese horseshoe bats in U.S. laboratories, he proposed using Mexican free-tailed bats as a “proxy” laboratory animal to develop his SARS-like animal vaccine. As it turns out, Mexican free-tailed bats are one of the bat species that SARS-CoV-2 infects. Moreover, this species has been used by the USGS in bat-vaccine research and has shown reservoir-host tendencies for SARS-CoV-2. Scientists have had years to identify a susceptible animal at the Wuhan wet market, but they have found no definitive intermediate host. Why would an engineer question a virologist? My story starts with oil and gas sales. The lab equipment used to develop drilling fluids measures viscosity. The thicker, the better—but if a fluid becomes too thick, the pumps can’t move it. As a mechanical engineer, I know that particle movement in a fluid is foundational science. But the ultimate fluid is the air we all breathe. If we study the (lab) animals that transmit SARS-CoV-2, we can reverse-engineer the scientist who trained the pathogen to spread through the air. There are 5,000 mammalian species on this planet, but only five have shown efficient transmission. All five mammals have been used in vaccine research at Baric’s partner lab, Rocky Mountain Lab (RML) in Montana. I have since started a blog, written a book, debated the World Health Organization, and had U.S. government investigators reference my findings. My theory holds that SARS-CoV-2 was developed as an animal vaccine in U.S. labs (UNC and RML), then shipped to Wuhan for testing, where it accidentally escaped. For years, the public has been told to choose between natural spillover and a Chinese lab leak. That is a false choice. The more important question is whether American animal-vaccine research helped create the virus. I began this investigation seeking answers in Wuhan. Instead, I found myself looking at U.S. laboratories and government grants. My evidence does not end the investigation, but it tells us where to begin. Jim Haslam is a Houston-based mechanical engineer who specialized in fluid dynamics and aerosols. The same principles that helped explain the airborne spread of COVID-19 can also help identify laboratory animal models consistent with its emergence before 2020. realclearscience.com/article…

Breaking: David Shoebridge has $10 MILLION worth of real estate in his wife’s name ***The Greens are total HYPOCRITES*** His wife owns properties in blue chip suburbs like Woollahra, Ultimo and Darlinghurst He has a family trust. No doubt he and his wife has used negative gearing but he won’t admit it Ask yourself why a Greens politician would put all his assets in to his wife’s name? Ask yourself how politicians are amassing such enormous wealth?
Greens leader David Shoebridge: “time to tax the rich.” Also David Shoebridge: four properties in his wife’s name, and no comment on the tax breaks. Woollahra home, transferred to her in 2007, then estimated at $2.2m in a suburb where houses now clear $4m. Darlinghurst flat, bought for $535k, later around $1.5m. Ultimo terrace, bought for $543k, then estimated at $1.4m. Plus one interstate. He’s on the mortgages. Asked what tax breaks she used to build the portfolio, he declined to answer. Elites are a problem. Just not when the title is in the spouse’s name, and you conveniently live in the most expensive one.

The most successful drug advert in history said Lipitor cuts the risk of heart attack by 36%, and the truth was in the footnote. What the headline said: - 36% fewer heart attacks What the asterisk said: - On the sugar pill, 3 people in 100 had a heart attack - On Lipitor, 2 people in 100 had a heart attack Both statements describe the same trial. 3 down to 2 is a drop of about a third. It is also a difference of 1 person. What that means for the 100: - 1 avoided a heart attack - 2 had one anyway - 97 were never going to have one - 100 took the tablet every day for over three years - 100 were exposed to the side effects Nobody sat in a surgery was ever told "this will help 1 in 100 of you." They were told 36%, by a doctor who had been told 36%, by a rep who was paid on it. Lipitor went on to sell well over $100 billion. That asterisk is the most expensive piece of punctuation ever printed.

❗️What happened aboard the Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv: 📍The aircraft first squawked 7700, signaling an emergency, then switched to 7500, indicating a possible hijacking. Contact was subsequently lost. 📍The plane was carrying around 180 passengers. It was unable to land in Israel, turned around over Jordan and was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. 📍All passengers are safe, Flydubai said. 📍According to Israel’s Channel 12, the emergency was caused by a fight between the pilots. The report says one pilot was Russian and the co-pilot was Ukrainian. 📍Netanyahu reportedly called an emergency meeting. 📍Flydubai said a replacement aircraft will take the passengers from Saudi Arabia to Israel and that the airline is cooperating with the authorities.
Passengers on the Dubai–Tel Aviv flight have released video footage from inside the plane.

NDIS wages exist because the govt created the scheme, sets prices, & pays them with taxes. Official stats still call most providers private. That is just wrong. It hides a publicly financed wage bill behind private employers. #Auspol #Ausbiz
An unprecedented public wage bill at 21% is a catastrophic fiscal death spiral.. bloated govt spending suffocates the economy, leads to record taxes, private businesses are being cannibalised for talent, & national productivity is collapsing. Hard-working businesses are forced into brutal layoffs while the bureaucratic swamp keeps growing.. #Auspol #draintheswamp
