Nathaniel menjelaskan bahwa karhutla udah berlangsung selama empat bulan, dan dua bulan terakhir jadi periode yang sangat berat. Bayangin, selama itu yang mereka lihat cuma langit berwarna kuning keabu-abuan.
Dia juga mengatakan bahwa saat ini warga cuma bisa berusaha bertahan hidup dan memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Banyak warga dari kalangan ekonomi rendah yang bahkan nggak punya perlindungan memadai untuk menghadapi kebakaran ini.
