C-39 represents a giant step backwards for Canadians b/c it will work against the cultivation of healthy labour relations. It falsely implies you can truly believe in collective bargaining OR be on Team Canada, but not both. @ALPACanada knows how to get deals for our members.

ALPA Canada President Capt. Tim Perry had the honour of presenting an ALPA Canada pin to retired ALPA pilot Capt. Nicholas Dobi, who flew Continental Flight 43 from Milan to Newark when it was diverted to Gander on 9/11.

Today my labour sensibility leads me to think of the Persian people. Because their government doesn’t reflect who they truly are, I think of a people whose hospitality knows no bounds, whose culture enriches the world, and who are sadly and consequentially terribly misunderstood.

Sad to share the news of Marc Garneau, former Minister and first Canadian in space, passing away earlier today. He was a leader, a dedicated safety advocate and profoundly decent man. My thoughts are with his family and everyone whose life he touched.
