I don’t know who needs to hear this but Neil Diamond, who retired from performing five years ago because of Parkinsons, just had a Broadway show of him open and it at the opening night he did this

Just heard one of Hunt’s advisers from JP Morgan on @BBCr4today Dismayed at her analysis which is basically rate increases haven’t worked so far so need to raise them more. Old “wisdom” which is so out of touch with the drivers of today’s issues. – at Tandridge, South East

https://teapaw.org/t.co/DmSfUbPeRY This sounds great. We should have gone for one of these Brexits.
A very interesting thread by @ProfMarkElliott which once again demonstrates how Johnson has trashed the delicate balance by which our unwritten constitution has managed to operate, one way or another, for so long.
Does the PM’s refusal to resign mean the UK is in a ‘constitutional crisis’? That’s a vague notion, but I think the answer is that it implies he’s willing to create one very soon. Another way of framing the question is: At what point *must* Boris Johnson resign? /1

Anyone fancy some toast? I believe some is being prepared in Downing Street.
He was doing so well until “leave”. If only he’d stopped there.
Last night’s vote is worse in percentage terms than that suffered by Mrs May and on a par with Heseltine’s challenge against Mrs Thatcher. The Prime Minister should now leave with honour and residual affection for what he has achieved.
