Current state of BSV wallet discussions
1. What happens when miners adopt checkpointing syst Teranode docs clearly lays out?
2. If 95% of txs are token txs that require indexers 4 validity, how do u
A. Stop indexing when validity relies on it?
B. Expect 2 adopt checkpointing when validity requires data availability?
I’m done criticizing chain scanning and other approaches to wallets.
I have always believed in building things up rather than tearing down the houses of others.
Warning users of imminent danger is important, but I think I’ve said enough for now on the topic.
BRC-234 is a good start, and I’ll also continue looking into privacy concerns with all wallets.
In general, better wallet UX and on-ramps/offramps are important areas of focus. I will continue improving these areas.
BRC100 remains an optional interface among wallets and applications, one that more wallets and apps use every day.
It is not the only approach.
For example, Joel’s Link Wallet allows a suite of applications including Nextrade and S Phone.
ElectrumSVP / BREAD are other approaches. The maintainer of ElectrumSVP has also stated an interest in contributing to improve the BSV Desktop software.
I do not think those contributions should be welcome or accepted at this time.
It’s not because the contributions are worthless, it’s because of the conduct of the person making them.
There are certain shared standards of decorum that must be applied consistently, to everyone, in order to protect the integrity of shared undertakings.
Chief among them are that harassment, violent speech, personal insults, namecalling, bullying and related conduct are never acceptable forms of technical discourse. Whether directly in the repo or otherwise.
I do not, and should not, need to tolerate this kind of abusive behavior. From anyone. Resorting to it is never necessary while discussing a technical topic.
Neither should Connor, Deggen, Siggi, or others involved with our ecosystem.
If ElectrumSVP maintainer continues with this conduct, I will support a fork of the project so that users aren’t held hostage to this behavior.
The same standard should also govern my own conduct, in the other direction.
Software projects often call this a “code of conduct” and I am calling upon BSV to adopt one. No one should be above it, no exceptions.
This is what a maturing software ecosystem looks like. I look forward to creating a less toxic environment over time.
To my fellow contributors, despite my flaws, let me reiterate my commitment towards the continued growth of this ecosystem. In my 26th year on this planet, I’m still learning more about what good stewardship looks like every day.
There are lots of things to improve (BRC39, #569, #674), but I believe in our shared capacity to get it done.
Doing so should never require us to welcome hateful, caustic contributors. I believe that BSV can rise to the occasion, ans grow to be better than that.
Imagine not knowing this..and handing him over electrum
Replying to @cryptorebel_SV
Your caustic behavior deserves no place in the BSV ecosystem.
You are a bully, and a coward.

Buying 400+ homes a week while only selling ~200 leads to aging inventory—is this really a sustainable strategy?

Why did the Chronicle upgrade enable op_checkdatasig functionality on BSV?
Isn't that the whole reason for the BCH/BSV fork?
Ours is even compatible with BIP340 which enables Nostr/MuSig2/FROST.

Can I get confirmation from @BSVAssociation that Chronicle node behavior is set in stone?
Please sign tx with confirmation.
It’s amazing the number of people who are confident about what Bitcoin was and was not designed for, but somehow they can’t make a single dollar in profit.
