The things that change will always be more visible than the things that don’t and the new will grab our attention as the old can seldom do. Thus we overrate what just happened and underestimate what didn’t. And our perspective can never be in tune with life's changeless patterns.

“Art is not self-expression,” John Cage pointed out. “It’s self-alteration, making oneself more open.” You could say that art is the best way we can escape ourselves this side of love or religion. It's how we learn to see the world through eyes other than our own.

There are 50 million unvaccinated healthcare workers in the world
US has more than 75 million doses of vaccines on hand
And each week, we produce 10 million more doses than we use
We can vaccinate entire global HC workforce quickly
And not deprive Americans of a single dose

Six months and counting: New data today show that the Pfizer vaccine continues to provide strong protection for at least six months, and likely even longer. Vaccination is our way out of the pandemic.

Vaccination, although it's our best tool, won't end the pandemic alone. There's no quick and easy solution. We're going to have to do better at preventing infections and, when there are fewer cases, boxing in clusters through testing, isolation, contact tracing, and quarantine.

No?
How about one from South Korea?
No?
Surely variants from New Zealand & Vietnam?
Of course not
Because these places haven't given rise to scary variants
But what places have.....has big implications for ending the pandemic
