there's a bus stop in indy that drivers kept demolishing that a certain agency in charge of works for the public wouldn't put a bollard in front of because they unironically were worried that a driver would die if they hit the bollard going that fast

But when I showed up to the store on Park Rd, I had to wait for 40 minutes for them to wheel my groceries out of the parking deck. They didn't know how to handle me, a customer who simply walked up to their store. 2/3

A well staffed city bureaucracy that directly performs tasks, developing institutional experience to become more effective, is good.
Dozens of govt funded non-profits doing the same tasks not-continually is inefficient and causes ineffective public service administration.

Don't miss the forest for the trees. These workers make about $20 an hour for a CEO that makes $7,000 an hour, building machines that sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, for a company that's profiting close to $6 billion *this year*. Deere can afford it, & workers need it.

When @viegasf and I designed our wind map, we scaled the brightness by the top windspeed in the data. We also only plot wind over land.
So when a hurricane is heading to landfall, the map goes ominously, unreadably dark. Technical bug, emotional feature. hint.fm/wind
