There’s so much people don’t tell you about parenting before you have kids - but the thing that always knocks me sideways is the ordinary, ridiculous joy of hearing your own child singing in the shower

It’s blowing my mind that people queueing to see a dead queen are complaining about wealthy people pushing in and unfairly getting ahead

Having lived in both Cornwall and Devon this is one of my pet peeves. I hate it. This ‘banter’ is the beginning of sectarianism. Hasn’t anyone read Dr Seuss’s The Butter Battle Book?
Usually at peace with the seven signs of ageing, but I've just seen a vicar younger than me and it's not OK.
Really sad to hear of Ken Garland's passing. He's the best guest speaker we've ever had, especially the deep dive into Top Gun. Same accent as my Grandad Adams too, so double the listening pleasure.

Tina Turner is not in the rock and roll hall of fame and you want me to just get dressed and act like it’s a normal day?!?
I've shaved my beard off just to check I still had a face underneath it. Literally the only good thing about this has been eating an orange with gay abandon.
My daughter's school has arranged for there to be reindeer out front when they arrived this morning. Her friend thought reindeer were mythical creatures, like unicorns or dragons, and has had her mind well and truly blown.
They are thirteen.

About to give a lecture to incoming @soas students about witchcraft and Donald Trump, via a tour of contemporary US satanism, various pagans, hippies and then bringing us to those witches who would hex and those who would magically defend, the current US president...

A pub guy once told me that he had an ex-French police car. The handbrake had been replaced with a 2nd engine that let him do 130mph+ but not get caught by the police because he would deactivate the second engine and then invite them to try and get to 130 - can anyone confirm?
Waiting for a coffee. Old man in queue scandalised about the BBC, gender neutral toilets and decaffeinated tea.
