‘The appointment of Nusseibeh, who has been the face of the UAE’s Sudan strategy, would be a slap in the face to the millions of people suffering the horrors of war, and a dereliction of duty towards those thousands who have already been killed.’

No matter who wins tomorrow's election in Israel, let's be clear: Israel is a racist, settler-colonial state and Zionism is predicated on the elimination of indigenous Palestinians who will remain subject to military occupation, apartheid, and genocide regardless of who is PM.

Lana Nusseibeh (pictured here with Israel regime ambassador Gilad Erdan) who is being pushed by US-Israel aligned Gulf monarchies and several US and Western figures to become the next UN Secretary-General, is most known in diplomatic circles for running cover for the genocide in Sudan and for pushing to normalize the Israeli apartheid regime as it perpetrates a genocide in Palestine. Fluent in Hebrew and with a master’s degree in Israel studies, she has been a key actor in pushing the treacherous “Abraham Accords” and Trump’s colonial “Board of Peace.” In the Epstein Files, she is seen helping Epstein (and Israel) collaborator Terje Larsen to get his son into NYU, and helping Epstein himself to visit the UAE. A truly terrible candidate.

Sadly, this tweet from July, 2014 could have been written today. Public opinion in the USA has shifted dramatically. But public policy has not.
This election season, please vote your values.

I know of no other place on earth where the shooting of two soldiers leads to the displacement of 2000 people who had no connection to the shooting other than being in the neighbourhood.

There is nothing more patriotic than a small-town voter rendering motormouth Ramaswamy speechless, in 2024, for 90 seconds:
"You may be a millionaire, and know how to avoid paying taxes by incorporating companies in Bermuda, but let's talk about your lack of job qualifications."
🚨 Quick Buckeye reminder about Ramaswamy, from Republican @GovChristie, who made mincemeat out of this misogynist motormouth when he slandered @NikkiHaley in 2023.
One quibble on the wording (and a new #): #Misogyswamy is America's second-most obnoxious blowhard.

Benjamin Moser, author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, told Rashid Khalidi that his 80-year-old mother, who had all but called him a Hamas member, apologized after reading his book: “I’m ashamed I ever said I was a Zionist.”
His book traces Jewish opposition to Zionism over the past century and challenges their exclusion in discussions over Palestine. “No, you don’t get to set the rules anymore. We’re setting the rules now,” Moser said.
Khalidi added that he had never seen so many people change their views so rapidly, noting that major publishers are now embracing books on Palestine that would have been virtually unpublishable just three or four years ago.
