What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

So I recently badgered my cinematographer @steveyedlin into making my ideal iPhone still camera app. It shoots RAW, bypasses the iPhone's look processing and instead uses the same image processing we use on our movies. apps.apple.com/app/apple-sto…
Everyone having a meltdown over the new black and white Apple Music logo, but it seems Apple Classical still has the old design.
Amy Adams fire your freaking agent NOW omg
At a time when the box office is rebounding, and embracing auteur-driven fare (i.e. Christopher Nolan’s near $1.8B grossing The Odyssey) as well as originality (a three-hour documentary about a delusional, scandalous tech titan called You Can See Everything), the star studded Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams starring Klara and the Sun failed to shine with a $701K domestic opening last weekend. The movie, booked at 880 locations, posted a theater average that was less than $800.

I still remember when everyone was doing the Foghorn Leghorn voice over memes and Eric Bauza joined in on the fun to roast Vegeta
I’m gonna miss him

I can't believe I'm getting misty-eyed at a wacky Daffy Duck speech. Bauza was such a talent who embodied his Looney Tunes characters in a way very few people since Mel Blanc have done. You could tell how much he loved getting to be Bugs, Daffy, Tweety, Marvin et al.

I'm in complete shock and disbelief. A tremendously talented and kind coworker who I always had great conversations with and learned from. Sending so much love to his family. He was a giant. A titan in our industry.

Shigeru Miyamoto has been awarded the "Order of Culture" for his contribution to Japanese culture, one of Japan’s highest honors!
He will be the first person from the video game industry to receive the award. Previous recipients have been people such as Nobel prize winners and humanitarian scientists.

“Wildwood” director Travis Knight calls AI an “amazing piece of technology” but says, “I’m not embracing it at all.”
“I see technology as a tool, and we use technology at Laika. A pencil is technology, a paintbrush is technology, a 3D printer is technology. Technology is useful when you put it in the hands of people, when you put it in the hands of artists who can amplify their voice."
“Technology is not useful when it takes the place of the artist, and that’s the concern with generative AI,” he continued. “It’s an amazing piece of technology, but the concern is that when it supplants the artist, then we have an issue because the computer cannot speak about humanity at all. It doesn’t know what it feels like.”
