I do this when I walk with my wife holding hands.
That 0:04 second double step to match the hip sway of the dancers is exactly why she was so good in a girl group setting and that's on The Mathew Knowles School For Performers training.

Same. I can still hear it in my head now. Not accidentally, my mom was an early exceptional feminist. And I’m better for it.

Has this always been true? That the electorate moves to the right as it ages? I kinda think so, but I don’t understand why.
One thing I know already. If not for voters under 30 ... tonight WOULD have been a Red Wave. CNN National House Exit Poll R+ 13 65+ R+ 11 45-64 D +2 30-44 D +28 18-29 #GenZ did their job.
I was the youngest.
Everything happening on Twitter now is a lot easier to understand if you‘ve ever had a younger sibling that invented a game and added a new rule every time they started losing.
Well, I’m never going to a rodeo again.
Well this is cool to me. I have so many memories of my mom’s involvement in the WI LWV, and now I live part of the year in Montana. I hope that this right to privacy can be upheld and women can continue to be supported here.
Surprised to see Montana stand alone in a sea of red states w/out a trigger law? It’s bc MT has a right to privacy in its constitution. 50 yrs ago MT League of Women Voters led a successful effort to call for a Constitution Conv & right was enshrined there. Impt lesson…🧵
When you have a culture of empathy, care, safety, and inclusiveness, participants are fiercely protective of it. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

I worked with @freddieoconnell for years, and I would 100% vote for Freddie if I could.
I’m running for mayor. Some of you know me. And some of you know I’m running. Now it’s time to introduce myself to more Nashvillians. Let’s build a Nashville that works together. You can help. readyforfreddie.com/donate

Some people create or discover new things. Some enforce social norms. There is little overlap between the two.

I love this. She said, “I want that, but I haven’t earned it, I’m gonna bow out until I believe I deserve it.” A true flex.
I had no intent to move to Texas, but this alone would make me refuse any impetus to. It’s disgusting.
Greg Abbot has officially directed Family and Protective Services to begin investigating all trans children in Texas and prosecuting their parents as child abusers. He has also instructed all teachers, doctors, and caregivers to begin reporting any trans students they see.

Soap is fascinating.
I had a conversation the other day with someone who thought "soap is mechanical" meant it doesn't actually kill germs and just wipes them away. Soap kills germs. It just does so mechanically, with crowbar-shaped molecules that pry open germs and spill their viscera.
Rustici Software confirms the merits of this idea.
To all early stage founders, let me save you two years of flailing. Whatever idea you have, just pivot to building infrastructure for that idea instead. 😆

I think we understated the Covid acceleration for the last month.
Wow. One sign of omicron's workforce effects: In Household Pulse Survey from Dec 1-13, ~3 million people said they were not working because "I was caring for someone or sick myself with coronavirus symptoms." When same question asked Dec. 29-Jan 10, *8.8 million* people said this

My wife has wanted to feature on her phone for a while where people have to let you know WHY they’re calling you, so I decided to sketch it out for fun. 🧵
