I imagine a future where we'll all appreciate NFTs for finally teaching us how ridiculous the concept of private ownership is...
Thanks to @breadwinnerspod for inviting me on!
Tina Berger joins Jennifer to discuss her new book, Coming Around, and shares lessons learned by questioning not only how we judge accomplishments but the hidden systems that too often get in our way. bit.ly/BWep125 #workingwomen #workingmoms #workingparents

2/2 & tradeoffs (health, environmental, community, generational, planetary)? Is this someone else's problem? When will we roll up sleeves and make the effort to reimagine and reform our economic and financial systems to serve the global good and the needs of future generations?
1/2 What @rustyrockets misses here is that for anyone who owns MSFT AAPL, CVX (or any stock or fund) the "they" is actually "we." What is the responsibility of corporate shareholders, even small ones? Is a 2030 plan good enough? Are we holding ourselves accountable for the risk..

Millennials hold 4.8% of all wealth. There are now 40-year-old Millennials. At the same age, Gen X had 9% of wealth. Boomers had 21% The largest generation in history did what the system told them to do and became the most-educated in history. Now they're the poorest in history

Thankful to @moses_says for reading my book and bringing me on her #wellnessandwanderlust podcast. We covered *a lot* of territory in this conversation, and I am always inspired to engage cross-generationally. #yinyang #meaningfulwork #millennials tinyurl.com/4zzyevh9 🗨️

Deep listening as embodied emotional receptivity, a willingness to be changed. #deeplistening #yin
Absolutely wonderful @tarabrach dharma talk on deep listening — listening with unconditional tenderness and “a willingness to be changed by what you hear” tarabrach.com/deep-listening… Also see Erich Fromm's 6 rules of listening and unselfish understanding brainpickings.org/2017/04/05…
“[…] Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing. You must wake up with sorrow. You must speak to it till your voice catches the thread of all sorrows and you see the size of the cloth." 💛
The simple act of writing things down helps us get into community with "all of the selves that live on in each of us at any given moment — your child self, your older self, your confused self." And other goodness I needed to hear right now. Enjoy... onbeing.org/programs/naomi-s…

When we receive an angry response from someone who tells us to stfu, we might choose to hear that as an expression of the pain that the experience they are attempting to share with us is not being fully received. bit.ly/3031mQ9

Thought of the day. I think poetry & music (some music) are greatest forms of human expression. Hence, I think any team of a dozen people should have a poet and a musician.* (And, of course, at least six women.) (*This holds especially in tech world and probably in medicine.)

The great news is that we could make most of this up by asking Amazon nicely to pay more than $0 in federal income tax. And if that's not enough, perhaps Netflix could chip in more than $0. My creativity is uncanny even to me. Feels almost like this problem is solvable.

In this clip, @therealkoachk (on IG) why businessmen like @TilmanJFertitta make bad decisions as team owners because they only consider hard stats and don't understand the value of "glue" players to the success of the franchise.

I'm CEO of a small company that processes payments for other small biz. Our data shows 50% of small biz revenue is gone already. Meanwhile Walmart stock is at record high & Amazon is hiring 100k people. No joke: We're on a path toward small business extinction - swallowed whole

I haven't found many ICOs that communicate a strong value proposition. @experty_io is an exception-a blockchain-based way to access experts directly without intermediaries. The idea is solid and truly appreciate that they are requiring "proof of care" from ICO investors. teapaw.org/experty_io/status/9428…
