Our recent @NatureClimate paper w @tkazlou & @acherp argues there is little hope #ccs can grow fast enough for 1.5°C target. The 2°C target is realistic only if CCS failures drop & CCS eventually grows as fast as mainstream energy technologies. nature.com/articles/s41558-0…

Honoured to receive Early Career Scientist Award by #ERSS for our paper (sciencedirect.com/science/ar…) w/ @acherp @jessicadjewell. We developed a new framework and methods to investigate whether and to what extent #climatepolicy accelerates #energytransition. 🧵

Does nuclear grow slower than wind and solar? Or do they grow just as fast under right conditions? And what realistic combinations of wind, solar and nuclear can reach climate targets?

We need to dramatically reduce use of #fossils to reach 1.5°. Has something similar ever happened in the past?

Pleasure to work with @FrBellino and Ukrainian NGO @ecodiya to produce their first position on hydrogen. Would be very interesting to see Ukrainian progress and cooperation with EU (which is already up and running). #hydrogen #Ukraine ENG: en.ecoaction.org.ua/use-of-h…

Just looked at the @IEA "Global Electric Vehicle Outlook 2020" and saw their assumptions on emissions are skewed against electric vehicles (see picture).
IEA assumes 22% less emissions by EVs.
Reality is closer to 65% (esp. in the EU).
Let me show you (thread).
