Glenn Jacobs (WWE Hall of Famer Kane) is viewed as the favorite to be appointed to Marsha Blackburn's U.S. Senate seat after she won Tennessee's governor's race, The Washington Sun reports.
Blackburn will appoint her own successor after she is sworn in as governor in January. The appointee would serve until a special election in 2028.
Asked last month on the Fox News Rundown podcast if he would take the seat, Jacobs said, 'I would say that I would do it. Yes, yes, I would.'
Rep. Tim Burchett, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann and Deputy Gov. Stuart McWhorter are also in the mix.
