#TBT to a special day at @TALLADEGA in 2024, as I was behind the wheel of @DaleJarrett's No. 88 1999 Winston Cup Championship car alongside the 1987 No. 28 Davey Allison Thunderbird. Talladega will always be a special place for the Yates family. It’s where my dad earned his first and last wins as a team owner, and it’s a place filled with unforgettable memories and history.

Rusty Wallace won the 1988 Oakwood Homes 500 at Charlotte 38 years ago today. 🏁
Rusty won four of the final five Winston Cup races in 1988, and finished the season just 24 points behind champion Bill Elliott.
Rusty won the championship in 1989.

NASCAR just announced it will adjust the rain tire policy to be more hands off. Now teams can choose when to switch from wet weather tires to slicks (although everyone has to start on the same tires).
One wrinkle: On a damp pit road, green-flag stops would be compeititve stops, but yellow flag stops would be non-competitive and the positions would not change on pit road.
This was one of the many HotRods 🥵that our Team @RYREngines and #RYR built in 2004 to make #TheChase @NASCAR and @Yates_Doug
