The next interface between the digital world and nature is being built now.
As machines become more autonomous, they will need to understand the natural world they operate within.
Not as scenery.
Not as obstacles.
As context.
That missing layer is Nature Intelligence.
Godspeed, Captain.

Movement isn’t just something the body spends energy doing. The forces generated by movement may be one of the inputs the body uses to decide how to maintain itself.
Hence not moving…
Replying to @hjluks
Movement is information. Our bodies evolved to expect it, and modern life keeps taking it away.
I wrote about what this study found, what it doesn't prove, and what I think it means for how we train as we age:

@JensenHuang what really matters in a world when intelligence as we think of it is solved. (i.e now)
Can you sense what’s next, around the corner?
Patience is a virtue, but so is impatience. Be impatient to take the first step. Have patience to evaluate the change.

We dug into the wild world of building AI that helps us understand animals to better coexist with them 🐬🐘🦜 — how it works, what surprised us along the way, and where it's all heading.

It would be surprising if billions of years of evolution hadn’t found ways to take advantage of this enormous, predictable stream of energy arriving every day.
Fascinating research.
The single biggest surprise that people who begin to understand what we currently know is that sunlight actually passes through the body (and clothes) and is absorbed along the way. The implicit realization means that sunlight touches every cell of the human body and not just the skin.
This is a revolution in terms of how we think about sunlight. It is not a fantasy but now scientific proven fact:
