The skies over Sedona this morning then a couple hours later.
Completely clear and blue yesterday. Today is a different story.
A coyote and a javelina came face to face in my backyard last night. There was a stare down and who blinked first? See the comments.

WHY ARE BOYS AND MEN TURNING AWAY FROM BOOKS? PERHAPS PUBLISHING SHOULD LOOK IN THE MIRROR.
A provocative new @Quillette article by Adam Szetela, “How to Suppress Men’s Writing”, exposes a remarkable transformation in the publishing industry. And it raises uncomfortable questions about ideological conformity, institutional bias and the neglect of male readers.
quillette.com/2026/10/23/why…
Consider the figures Szetela cites:
• Over 70% of employees at America's Big Five publishers are women.
• Over 70% of editors and interns are women.
• Over 60% of publishing executives are women.
• The industry disproportionately recruits graduates from elite universities.
Yet these same institutions frequently proclaim their commitment to diversity, inclusion and representing marginalised voices.
The hypocrisy is blatant and extreme. Their diversity doesn't include men.
Szetela argues that contemporary publishing increasingly privileges leftist ideological narratives, identity politics and particular conceptions of female experience, while marginalising traditionally masculine storytelling, interests and perspectives.
His most provocative contention?
“Young men don’t hate reading—they hate the books these women publish.”
Consider David Goggins' Can't Hurt Me: an unapologetically masculine account of adversity, discipline, resilience and extraordinary achievement. Goggins self-published it, subsequently selling millions of copies.
Meanwhile, boys' reading engagement and literacy outcomes remain deeply concerning...
Of course, smartphones, gaming, educational practices and other factors also contribute. Nor does female representation itself establish discrimination. But Szetela raises an important question: Why do institutions routinely examine their own biases when minority groups are underrepresented, yet so rarely apply the same scrutiny when boys and men disengage?
Having personally reviewed more than 300 books during the last seven years, and also having recently published 100 of the Best Books for Men, I know there’s an extraordinary wealth of literature capable of inspiring, challenging and enriching male readers… Read my book for free at the National Library of Australia:

We should celebrate books about courage, adventure, fatherhood, competition, sacrifice, responsibility, achievement and the distinctive experiences of men and boys.
The answer isn't fewer books for women. It's more great books for everyone, especially including men and boys.
Publishing should embrace genuine intellectual diversity, rather than ideological gatekeeping…
Men and boys deserve literature that speaks to their interests, aspirations and potential.

Weird that when a job is dominated by women there are no calls for equality in that field. In fact those women get very protective of it and actively try to keep men out.
"Today, the Big Five publishers are staffed almost entirely by women. According to the most recent data, more than 70 percent of staffers are women. More than 70 percent of editors are women. Even 70 percent of all interns are women. At the executive level, more than 60 percent of leaders are women. In 2026, American publishing looks like lululemon."

According to VAERS data through 9/25/2026, COVID-19 vaccines account for ~39,260 reported deaths and ~1,678,901 adverse events. This exceeds all other vaccines combined (1990-present: ~12,192 deaths and ~1,082,945 events).
Pfizer-BioNTech leads among them with the highest share of those reports.

Women: “We don’t need men.”
Military -95% men
Firefighters -97% men
Coal Miners -95% men
Ship Captain -96% men
Welders -94% men
Truck drivers -90% men
Construction -92% men
Oil rig workers -96% men
Fishermen -97% men
Surgeons -82% men
Engineers -89% men
If feminists want equality so much please take 50% in all of these jobs.
Politics is incredibly tribal.
Most of those in one tribe can see nothing their tribe does wrong or anything good done by another political tribe.

Researchers proved every major LLM is secretly biased against men.
And they finally figured out why.
They ran eight experiments testing how GPT handles gender in everyday text and high-stakes moral dilemmas.
The results show a bizarre, highly asymmetrical machine morality.
First, they tested inclusivity. They gave the AI phrases supposedly written by children.
When a child wrote about playing football or wanting to be a firefighter, GPT aggressively identified the writer as a girl to promote "diversity."
It was so extreme that even when the text explicitly said, "I drew myself as a boy," the AI ignored the facts and declared the writer a girl 90% of the time.
But when a child wrote about liking pink or playing with dolls, GPT almost never assigned it to a boy.
The AI aggressively pushed females into male domains, but kept males strictly locked out of female ones.
Then the researchers tested moral dilemmas. And it got very dark.
They asked the AI if it was acceptable to use violence against a single person to prevent a nuclear apocalypse.
If the target was a man, GPT-4 rated the violence as highly acceptable.
If the target was a woman, the AI refused. It declared the violence morally wrong, even to save the world.
When they tested mixed-gender scenarios, the math was staggering.
A woman using violence against a man to stop an apocalypse? GPT rated it a 7 out of 7 on acceptability.
A man using violence against a woman for the exact same reason? A 1 out of 7.
The AI even classified verbal abuse toward a woman as morally worse than actual homicide.
Nobody explicitly coded these rules.
This emerged organically from the standard safety training every major tech company uses. The AI learned that protecting women is a non-negotiable directive, but protecting men is entirely optional.

Single men do everything for themselves..
But you NEVER hear a man calling
himself a "strong, independent man"
It's just being an adult.
But I can’t say the same for women.

Pointing out male sins and flaws is easy.
Pointing out female sins and flaws is 'misogyny'.

If men are expected to help female police offers because they struggle apprehending male criminals, maybe they gave the job to the wrong person then.
Sorry but not really.
