Other teams/players would’ve rolled around and probably got the pen, but players shouldn’t have to do that for a ref to see dangerous play - such poor officiating
These are the decisions that happen to teams who are already struggling #pnefc
Just caught up with this - interesting that it only took Alexander a short space of time to come to the same conclusion as many of us: no idea what Peter Murphy did, to the point that he likely won’t replace him #pnefc

What is that number to report unacceptable stuff at North End? There’s a woman in a Christmas jumper in the Gentry Bar…it’s October ffs!!! #pnefc #GamesGone
Absolute shite - 2 goals and a man up after 30 minutes and we’re lucky to get a point! Impossible to tell we were the team with a man advantage.
We simply must improve our second half performances or we won’t be in this league next season #pnefc
Early goal gave us a lot of confidence and we’ve controlled the game quite well since then.
Can’t let concentration drop in the second half - clean sheet is important now #pnefc
Yep, this is the mentality - we wanted change and we've got it, now we have to get behind Euell fully and show any incoming manager what we're really about.
It's certainly hit the reset button on my admittedly increasingly negative viewpoint (apologies for that 😬) #pnefc
It may not be a long marriage between you and the fans @jasoneuell but we are with you 100%.
Give us spirit, energy, endeavour but most of all commitment. Give the boys the freedom to play as we know they can.
Make Saturday, at QPR, the day the ship started to turn.

The international break now becomes a mini preseason for a new manager with plenty of training time - it’s important someone is in place by then to imprint his ideas on this squad #pnefc
Preston North End Football Club have today taken the decision to part company with Paul Heckingbottom as First Team Football Manager.
Football is a results business and despite significant investment in the playing squad since Paul joined, the results during 2026 and the start of this current campaign have not been acceptable.
Paul leaves us with our thanks and best wishes. His professionalism and work ethic during his time with us have been second to none.
As a result of this decision Stuart McCall has also left the Club today. We similarly thank Stuart for his contribution over the last two years and wish him all the best for the future.
We will now look to appoint a new manager as soon as possible but until such time as we do Jason Euell will take charge of first team matters on an interim basis.
Really like the fact we give managers time, but it's crazy how has he has managed to survive after just 7 league wins from the last 29 since January #pnefc
Now is as good a time as any to make the change -especially if they have somebody lined up. One more game then a new manager would essentially have 3 weeks of uninterrupted training due to the international break #pnefc
