I started a biz with my friend @indexsy He only has 1 rule for me.

The best AI assistant nobody knows about yet: tab.bot
Enjoy the secret while it lasts.
It'll be everywhere in your feed soon.

I had a business with more than 50 employees... we had some juicy data inside Slack, but I deleted the Slack 2 years ago. I tried to retrieve it and they wouldn't give it back. Surely it's saved somewhere??
Everyone talking about data brokering, saying they are making millions blah blah blah.
here is my dashboard, real proof. I get paid $50K per referral. 2 closed, got a few more in the pipeline.
I got paid out last week.
The two that are closed: both are agencies. Unfortunately, this data company is no longer taking on agencies data... So if you're a marketing agency or agency of some sort, you're out of luck.
Thank you @armon_sho and @varunkundra for introducing me to the opportunity.

This guy saved my Amazon business in 2019.
This is a crazy story, so strap in.
One day I woke up to 10 hijackers on my listing. I'm private label - I don't do wholesale - so these were 100% fake products. I bought one, and it was a carbon copy of my own product. Someone had literally taken my product, gone to China, manufactured it with my logo, and hijacked my listing on Amazon.
I was furious. I panicked. I bought a bunch of the hijackers' products and left negative reviews on their storefronts. And for some reason, Amazon banned MY account.
In typical Amazon fashion, I tried literally everything:
- Hired the Amazon lawyers
- Called seller support 10,000 times
- Emailed Jeff Bezos
Nothing worked. I was out of commission for 2 months.
Losing $300K/month. The worst part? Seeing my listing live but everything is going towards the hi-jackers...
Then Eric - who I'd met at an Amazon conference the year before - saw my plea for help on Facebook. He messaged me: "Hey, I might know someone at Amazon. I can shoot him a message."
Turns out his guy was the VP of the Canadian marketplace at Amazon. I sent him a quick message with my situation, he forwarded it to his team, and literally an hour later my account was reinstated.
2 months of hell, fixed in an hour. Because Eric saw that I needed help.
True

Have you guys found anywhere better ?
I am considered a top earner in BC.
Here’s why increasing the taxes actually doesn’t solve the problem.
This is the best investment I made after my exit.
Since inception in July 2017 - generated 30% net annualized returns (after fees).
Insane track record.
Techy people, explain this one to me. I'm doing Instagram outreach through Claude's browser control - it's literally driving the browser on my computer. Somehow Instagram still detects it's a bot and won't let me send any messages.
I've asked a few people who are smarter than me on AI and nobody can figure it out...
Any workaround?
Had dinner with a guy who works at one of the big AI labs.
Frontier models only get better two ways: more data, more compute.
The money pouring into AI right now is unfathomable, and the race between the labs is cutthroat - they'll pay almost anything for an edge.
That's what makes data so valuable. Better data means a better model, and a better model means they win.
People are amazed at this. 🇦🇪 UAE ships stuff like this monthly. It’s amazing to see.
🚨 EPIC! Secretary Rubio just announced ALL NEW US passports will NO LONGER arrive in trashy beat up mail
Instead, he's sending passports in elegant gold and white packaging
"For something as important and dignified as the US passport, it will arrive the way you would expect it to."
American exceptionalism! Great symbolism! 🇺🇸
And it can ALL be done easily through America .gov. No more spending hours!
Hot take
Everyone is going to be using AI personal agents like Muse.
People will be checking their email less as their agents triage their inboxes daily.
Your promo emails will probably get triaged unless it's a killer offer or discount.
Overall email attribution will decrease substantially.
The flip side: the emails that *do* make it through will be from brands the agent knows the user genuinely likes — so list quality and loyalty matter more than ever.
I get where Sam is coming from...
But here is the reality. Slack, Google, Meta, Apple, X, every product you already use every single day is collecting your data right now.
People are uploading the most sensitive information onto ChatGPT and Claude. What do you think they're doing with that data?
So if my data already does not belong to me, and these companies are already making money off it, then I would rather be the one getting paid for it.
If you want to see how people are earning anywhere from $100,000 to $2 million by selling their Slack messages and emails, click the link below.

We were offered like $600k to sell our company data to Micro1. 100% not doing it.
But it does interest me like crazy.
What a crazy business model and idea.
If you don't know, here's all I know about them: they go to private companies. They ask for your slack, notion, email info. Offer you 6-7 figures. Somehow anonymize that data and sell it to Openai, etc.
Seems like Micro1 has grown to 9 figures in revenue very very fast.
What else am I missing here. I get the value of this. But doesn't seem right to me.
The hottest exit in the Shopify app world came out of a college dorm room.
Four Canadian students built a post purchase upsell app called AfterSell between classes.
A few years later they sold it to Rokt for over eight figures. And they are still there building.
I sat down with two of the co founders, Armon and Varun, on Trenches to understand how they actually did it, what they got wrong along the way, and what the top Shopify brands are doing right now.
Condensed my notes below.
✅ The MVP Was Built by a Guy on Upwork
Armon is not an engineer. He was running dropshipping stores, saw post purchase upselling work on his own sites, and paid a freelancer to build the first version. Then he posted screenshots in Facebook groups and gave the app away for free in exchange for feedback. That got them 50 to 100 users, and only then did he go looking for technical co founders.
✅ Product Market Fit Took Three Years, Not Three Months
After twelve months of grinding they were at $5K MRR and losing money every month. The real inflection point was Shopify releasing its native post purchase extension, which turned a high friction thank you page widget into a true one click upsell and multiplied conversion rates overnight. They won because they were already in the arena when the platform shipped that update.
✅ Building Eight Apps Almost Killed the One That Worked
To get from $30K MRR to $1M ARR they assumed the answer was a portfolio of apps. At one point they had eight either live or in development, including order tracking and product quizzes. Every single one was eventually shut down or sold off. What actually got them there was going all in on go to market for the app that was already working.
✅ Go to Market Was the Bottleneck, Not Engineering
Facebook groups, app store SEO, and reviews got them to $30K MRR and then plateaued. The unlock was realizing merchants want hands on help setting up their offers, so they started doing merchant success with top brands, posting the results on Twitter and LinkedIn, and building a 100K follower TikTok for their second app. In 2023 they went from $1M to $6M ARR on the back of that.
✅ They Are Burning Millions in SaaS Revenue on Purpose
Any merchant can now use AfterSell for free if they run Rokt's third party offers on their confirmation page. They estimate this has cost them millions in ARR. Their view is that AI makes software cheaper to build every month, which makes SaaS pricing less defensible over time, and they would rather get ahead of that than get undercut by someone else.
✅ The Best Post Purchase Offers Are Logical, Not Emotional
The customer already bought, so you do not need to sell them on why they need the product again. The top brands give one simple logical reason to buy more, like telling the customer that the best results come from people who take it for four months, so they should commit now at a discount. The top supplement brands on AfterSell are adding $50 to $60 in revenue per post purchase visit with take rates of 20 to 30 percent.
✅ The Brands Scaling Fastest Right Now All Share the Same Profile
They sell one broad product with 80 to 90 percent gross margin that multiple avatars can buy. They run teams of fewer than five people. And they use AI workflows to pump out thousands of creatives and hit every angle at scale. The video editor is the one role nobody has managed to replace yet.
✅ Cross Promotion Between Apps Does Not Work
Everyone thinks they can swap email lists with a complementary app. In practice one side always gets more value and the channel never really moves the needle. The partnerships that actually worked were clean integrations, like co launching a subscription upgrade feature with Recharge, Skio, and Loop.
✅ The Acquisition Started as a Partnership Conversation
Rokt initially said they would partner but had no interest in buying. A few months later the AfterSell team came back having hit double the numbers they had promised, and that is when it got serious. From that point to signing took about three to four months, and a broker who had already sold his own company to Rokt is the reason the deal happened at all.
