I do not blame any existing appointees or political hires for their failure to upend the system. The system is designed to be implacable and impenetrable. That's the whole point. One hundred years of history proves that the job of political appointees is to show up, preen, and go, nothing more. Many good men and women in Trump 2.0 have done their best and made some difference however small. God bless them for trying.

Stop and consider how supremely weird this article is. It addresses a big topic, how Covid sweeps through the population over and over and the conditions associated with mild or severe cases.
Here's the weird part: does anyone remember that we had a potion that was supposed to stop this bug? Billions took the shot. And. yet here we are, vaccine injury everywhere and we still have Covid circulating.
This is surely the biggest medical fraud in history and yet hardly anyone talks about it.
Even this article throws in references to the shot but almost as a literary tick rather than a serious mention.

What a wonderful evening last night at the Brownstone Supper Club in Phoenix! I had the privilege of speaking about a subject very close to my heart: Who Owns Your Medical Decisions? The reception was extraordinary, but what impressed me most was the remarkable intellectual curiosity of those in attendance. The thoughtful questions, engaging conversations, and genuine desire to explore difficult issues reminded me why I love what I do. Medicine should never be about blind obedience or unquestioned authority. It should be about science, critical thinking, compassion, and the freedom to ask questions. My heartfelt thanks to Amy and Tom for being such gracious hosts and for bringing together such an exceptional group of people. Even after decades in medicine, evenings like this remind me that I am still learning, still inspired, and still convinced that meaningful change begins with open minds and honest conversations. Watching "You Can See Everything" has of course made me deeply curious about the entire Elizabeth Holmes saga. It's a story of how the "fake-it-until-you-make -it" hustle culture of the time drove many mythologies. And today we congratulate ourselves for our scrupulosity in ferreting out inaccurate claims and promises unmatched by reality.
And yet: in the background of this old story is the new story of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies backed by the biggest and most powerful governments all of whom pushed and even forced another innovation, a magic mRNA shot to protect against a virus that spread multiple times to most people in the world regardless of billions of injections. Not only did it not work; we have millions of pages of direct evidence that the injection caused disability and death without precedent.
And what happens? NOTHING!!! More investment, more status, more power, more products. The whole situation is beyond belief. So yeah, let's obsess some more about a lady who thought she could do diagnostics with a small machine and drop of blood but instead generated inaccurate results. Put that fraudster in jail!
If we want to get really meta about it all, we might suspect that this sudden sweep of attention on the Holmes situation is designed to serve a purpose. One does wonder.
